What is your opinion Satanism?

Many people seem misinformed about what most Satanists actually believe. While I'm sure there are a few Satanists who worship the Satan of the Bible, most Satanists (LaVeyan Satanists) are atheists and use Satan only as a symbol.

I myself am an atheist and think that Satanism, as well as the left hand path in general, has some good points. But it is a religion nonetheless, and I am not fond of religions.

I find it interesting, but being a religion, it's just not for me.

People who think all satanists worship Satan really irk me though.

Well considering Satan is evil I'm not too fond of evilness, no. Even though you're just using Satan as a "symbol"...doesn't that mean that you respect and desire evil? Doesn't make sense to me.

But you're a good salesman. If I were someone who didn't know about Satan, I would say you were selling me on a delicious pancake breakfast.

LaVeyan Satanism is a reasonably realistic ideology and I respect it.

Theistic Satanism is just silly.

There are no real Satanist who worship the Satan of the bible. Most theistic Satanist that I've communicated with believe Satan and his demons to be the original creators, and that Christianity and other Abrahamic religions are used only to cover up the truth about Satan.

My opinion of it? I'm not a big fan of LaVeyan Satanism, I do enjoy studying about spiritual Satanism though and am actually going to use the power mediation's found on the Joy of Satan site in my own routines. Whether or not I actually dedicate myself to that path will depend, I don't like dedicating myself to anything until I am 100% sure I want to go through with it.

It's more of a philosophy than a religion. I thought it was pretty much a religion so they could be recognized as a religion and be the first and only religion to waive their right for tax exemption.

As a whole- just another group of people trying to get you to follow them, because only they are right.....

You've got to figure it out for yourself - no matter where it leads you. Only you can live your life.

how can you judge a religion? please, religions judge everybody everyday. giving your will to any being you believe as your superior will only bring you down, dint submit to anything_trust me you dint want to create another religion as people will always abuse things_rise above!. now there are certain things about satanism I agree with like fighting hypocrisy in yourself and the outside world, resisting tyranny and things like this.

I think Sinagogue of Satan Satanism is the best religion ever created but being the creator perhaps I'm a tad bias.
