Why does everyone frown on Satanism, despite an obvious lack of knowledge?
Nearly everyone I know hates Satanism, Satan, and anything that remotely sounds like either. On the other hand, Most of the people that hate the likes of such, have done no research at all on Satanism. Before you answer, do yourself a favor and research what I'm talking about.

As for the Buddhists and Daolists out there, we are on the same side, believe it or not. Buddhism and Daolism evolved from Egyptian religions, which evolved from Sumerian religion. Sumerian religion is the heart of Theistic or Spiritual Satanism.
You put a fine point together, then it falls apart when you claim Daoism comes from Egyptian religions. It does not. That would be the Abrahamic Faiths.
I would say because worshiping Satan means someone is going to Hell. Also, because Satan is against all that God is for like: love, kindness,helping others, etc
Because they've been taught to believe that anything from the devil or Satan is evil. They make it dogmatic and therefore frown upon Satanism without having knowledge about it.
Because people are stupid. If i wanted to follow any religion then it would be satanism. They think satanism=evil. It doesn't, its the most true religion there is. It applies to all, people just think of their religions precious "god" will disown them.

Why does anyone believe there is such a critter, in a red suit, with a pointy tail and horns? Why do people need imaginary friends?
Some people just need to believe the ridiculous. All gods of any sort are simply contrary to experience....Satan, Thor, Osiris,...all of them sweetie.
People believed in sky critters in times before there was science because they were trying to make sense of their lives. Gods good ones or bad ones seemed to work.. Seth in Egypt, Satan from Christianity, and all have histories in other religions.

That site contradicts itself many times over. It says it's not about evil, but it writes in black and red, trays to look creepy, etc. It says it's not a reaction to Christianity, and yet there is a section about how Christianity is wrong. Your religion has more holes than mine. And that's saying something.
I don't hate Satanism (but then again I have researched into it).
Merely because it contains the word "Satan", everyone carries on the misconception that they believe in an actual deity called "Satan" (unless they're Theistic Satainsts).

Due to centuries of misinformation, lies, and the systematic removal of knowledge, few people these days understand or even know what ?Satanism? really is all about.
Christianity has been at liberty to dictate without any opposition, what they CLAIM Satanism to be. In order to accomplish this, the truth had to be destroyed. The Catholic Church (the original Christian Church, from which all Christian sects have evolved), heinously tortured to death and mass-murdered millions of innocent men, women and children in what was known as "The Inquisition." Some children who were burnt to death in what were known as "witch houses" were as young as two years of age.?
Christians forever rant and rave concerning the "one world order" where all identities, cultures, personal privacy's, and liberties will be lost and humanity, after being systematically bar-coded, will be lumped into a one-world slave state. What they fail to see is how their own so-called "religion" and bible have always been and are the roots of and blueprint for this regime. Everything in the Judeo/Christian Bible has been stolen and corrupted from religions predating Judaism, Christianity, and Islam from hundreds to thousands of years. Through Judaism and its tool of Christianity, all of the original spiritual teachings from around the world, (which are CONCEPTS) have been stolen from, lumped together into the "one," and corrupted into Jewish archetypes and characters and fictitious places. This has given the Jewish people as a whole a false history, political power and "spiritual" authority to which they are not entitled.
The bible is a very powerful subliminal tool to control the masses. One can see this is a man-made work as there are endless contradictions. The bible has been systematically drummed into the minds of the populace from a very early age. A lie must always be enforced as opposed to the truth which can stand on its own. Because spiritual knowledge and occult power have been removed and kept in the hands of a "chosen" few, the unknowing populace has been helpless against it. The agenda here is to create a one-world slave state with the "chosen" few ruling at the top. The perpetrators of course blame Satan to create a necessary distraction, while they use occult power to accomplish their ends. They have a history of stealing from and blaming their enemies for everything they really are and do, while always holding themselves in the highest esteem and innocence.
The original religions now known as "Satanism" (by the way, "Satan" means "enemy" in Hebrew), were all based upon what is known as the "Magnum Opus" or Great Work. The one known as "Satan" is our True Creator God. He was prevented by the other Gods from finishing his work on humanity, that of the godhead. The godhead is physical and spiritual perfection. The serpent is seen everywhere in ancient relics and structures. The serpent was held sacred in all areas of the ancient world. In truth, "fallen" pertains to the kindling serpent (which has always been associated with our Creator God Satan), which has fallen in humanity as a whole and now lies dormant at the base of the spine. Because of this, humanity as a whole is on a very low level of spiritual understanding. Thoughtless abuses of children and animals, senseless wars, brutality and endless corruption are the results of the fallen serpent. The "Tree of Life" which was stolen from the ancient Pagan religions and found its way into the biblical book of Genesis, was seen in many parts of the ancient world in friezes upon walls of ancient temples and in some tombs.

Christianity is anti-satanic.. Most of what people think they know about it came from movies or TV shows that were produced & funded by Jews.. Be yourself & believe what you want.. I'm a Satanist & I don't care what you believe.. HAIL SATAN.
People are afraid of what they can't understand and what they can't understand they avoid

being bad and Satan being a lie yet they don't see the contradictions in the bible or
how their God is a jealous God and brought murders through times in the bible. One
shouldn't talk about Satan if they haven't met him, yet judging him from one book, what
they been told about him by others or media views on him.
I am a LaVeyan Satanist and I am not here to argue with you. The reason why people jump to conclusions when they hear the name of Satan is because automatically they assume since we call ourselves Satanists and choose to follow our own ways as we please while all the Catholic and Christian people and such choose to live by the book. I have read the information on the the website you provided before I began writing this. I understand your frustration because I feel the same way. Even though I'm a LaVeyan Satanist, I go through the same things myself. Since you put the link of Johnston.com there, I'm assuming that you're a Spiritual Satanist. Our ways may be different but we're both Satanists. People don't understand us. They have been brain-washed to think as soon as they hear the name "Satan" it just has to be bad. And again, you are right about the fact that they don't know anything about Satanism, yet they still feel like they have the right to criticize us by our ways. And that makes me really angry. But instead of stomping away from those uneducated people, I ask them if they would like to know what Satanism is. If they're willing to listen, I share my knowledge with them. Not the whole book though, just like a general idea of what Satanism is. But if you feel like you don't want to explain yourself and your ways, you are free to walk away too. I don't, it's a thing that we the LaVeyan Satanists do; educate people so that they're not frightened. I don't know if Spiritual Satanism has something like that or not, but I still respect your views of things. Searching, i have something to say to you on your view of Satan. I grew up a Christian, born into a Christian family ext. and in all the years of being a Christian i have never got any benefits from Christianity. eventually i left Christianity and stumbled apron Satanism, at first I thought Satan was the source of all evil but i decided to do some research on it, and i gave it a try. I was amazed by Satanism, though the way i see Satanism may be a tad different from what the Satanists at Joy of Satan (website) have I still found my self in the right place. After doing some Satanic meditation i sort of felt different, better! Satan does not lie or deceive, if you do what you have to. my view on Satanism resembles order by the true and original gods. Not evil. Like i say.... My Heaven is your Hell....

Buddhism and Daoism are in no way "evolutions of Egyptian religions." I studied Buddhism for 3 years, and it's got nothing in common with Egyptian religion. Daoism isn't even a religion, it was more political commentary on Ancient China.
I can talk about Akkadian/Babylonian/Sumerian & Egyptian parallels, as well as their Hebrew counterparts, and Greek and Roman parallels, until the cows come home. JoS did manage to get SOMETHING right. But most JoS people I know just kind of take what they're told at face value and don't bother doing the research to see what's legit and what's BS.
In short, Satanism: Interesting. Joy of Satan: a few good morsels here and there, but mostly a big, steaming pile.
