Is Devil Worship and Theistic-Satanism the same thing?
I've been and Atheist for a while now and started to like the worship of Satan to make more sense. But I need to look more into a path to see which is best for me (Like deciding whether to be a Lutheran or Catholic) I was once a former Lutheran, and have decided to take the path of Satan.
Devil worship is the literal worship of Satan, and his plight against God. Whereas Theistic-Satanism is the practice of SatanistICCeliefs without the literal belief in Satan, or God.
Your logic is like betting on an infant to win a boxing match against a world champion. Why would you side with a loser, even if you can relate more to his personality?
Some people do use the terms interchangeably, yes. You'll usually find LaVeyan Satanists, who are staunch atheists, using the term "devil worshipers" to deride Theistic Satanists, who do believe that Satan is a literal supernatural being worthy of worship.
Generally "devil worship" is the term used for people worshiping the Christian version of Satan. Those people tend to be 14 year old boys and psychopaths. Theistic Satanism worships Satan as an actual entity, but they do not view him as Christians view him i.e. evil and wanting to destroy everything.
triage's why do you side with looser?
Ezek 26,14-21 (I will destroy Tir)
Ezek 29,17
Matt,15,21 (and then visit it)
Ezek 29,10 (UUU Egypt)
Ez 29 20 (and again)
I think that devil worship involves sacrifice, while Theistic doesn't. Be careful of Nazi.
Devil Worship and Theistic-Satanism are VERY different.
Devil Worship is all about pleasing the Christian Satan, whom is identified as being evil (though there is no evidence of that even in their Bible Lil). Devil worshipers are literally praising and worship ping what they think of as evil, which I think is moronic.
Theistic-Satanism has many varieties, almost like the denominations. Since there is nothing in Satanism that says you will suffer for eternity for doing certain things, Satanists have the most free will to do what they want and believe what they want.
Some believe in the Sumerian God Enki, others believe Satan is an extraterrestrial being, some believe certain Gods from the oldest religions are all Satan, the true God. Others are Luciferians, who worship Satan as the highest angel he was before falling. Oh, and then there's the LaVeyans who are basically what I call "Fancy Atheists".
One thing people need to get straight is that "Satan" isn't fabricated by Christianity or Hebrew. In the oldest language, Sanskrit, Sa, Ta, Na, and Ma were 5 primal sounds and also part of kindling (serpent) meditation. Sa means infinity, Ta means life, Na means death, and Ma means rebirth. Altogether, it means "Truth".
If you need more info, feel free to email me. Theistic-Satanist here who used to identify as Christian and eventually Atheist in the past.
-This excerpt quote from the Catholic Encyclopedia is very revealing:
In the same way the Greeks and Romans may have worshiped their divinities, fondly believing them to be good. But the Christian Scriptures declare that all the gods of the Gentiles are demons.

The Origins of Satanism
Satanism is not a Christian invention
Satanism predates Christianity and all other religions
Satanism is not about spooks, goblins, vampires, Halloween monsters or other related entities
Satanism is not about "evil"
Satanism is not an invention of, or a "reaction" to Christianity
Satanism is not a creation of Anton LaVey
Satanism is not about death
True Satanism is about elevating and empowering humanity to reach equality with the Gods, which was our True Creator (Satan's) intention
"IN THE SECRET OF MY KNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO GOD BUT ME"
-SATAN
From "Peace Be Unto Him"
The original religions now known as "Satanism" (by the way, "Satan" means "enemy" in Hebrew), were all based upon what is known as the "Magnum Opus" or Great Work. The one known as "Satan" is our True Creator God. He was prevented by the other Gods from finishing his work on humanity, that of the godhead. The godhead is physical and spiritual perfection. Now, if you continue to read on, I will prove this.
The serpent is seen everywhere in ancient relics and structures. The serpent was held sacred in all areas of the ancient world. Satan is the God Ea, aka ENKI, one of the first of the Nephilim to arrive on this planet and establish the first civilization. In Sumerian mythology, Enki's symbol was always the serpent.
The serpent represents the DNA, the life force and the kindling and has survived as the emblem of the American Medical Association and Veterinary medicine, where it is symbolic of life and healing. Only with the coming of Judeo/Christianity, has this sacred symbol been desecrated and blasphemed.
Nearly all of us are familiar with the term "fallen." This word has been used copiously by Christian clergy to refer to Satan and his Demons. In truth, "fallen" pertains to the kindling serpent (which has always been associated with our Creator God Satan), which has fallen in humanity as a whole and now lies dormant at the base of the spine. Because of this, humanity as a whole is on a very low level of spiritual understanding. Thoughtless abuses of children and animals, senseless wars, brutality and endless corruption are the results of the fallen serpent. The "Tree of Life" which was stolen from the ancient Pagan religions and found its way into the biblical book of Genesis, was seen in many parts of the ancient world.
