Default Doesn't it make more sense to believe in scientology than to not believe?

I mean, if you believe in Scientology and it all turns out to be a lie, you have nothing to lose, but if it was all true, you have everything to lose. Are you people retarded by taking the choice of losing before the choice of maybe winning?

(P.S. I'm not a Scientology's. I am an Atheist. If you understand the purpose behind this message, you won't ask why I posted this being an Atheist.)

Well according to the same principal, wouldn't make more sense to believe in GOD than to not believe? If God did exist and you did not believe that you'd have everything to lose

By the way I am Agnostic

That's the same argument for believing in heaven and Jesus. If you believe you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The reality is that any religion that alters our view of the importance of living each and every day as if it were your last because once gone, there is nothing else tends to cheapen life, and have people living towards and for things that ultimately will never happen.

You'll only have hundreds of thousands of dollars (if not more) invested that you won't get back either way.

Sure, I think everybody should be cleared, sadly only the wealthy ever get it tho. Like John Travolta.

No, since Scientology is still a cult. I will wait till they get enough members to be a 'true' religion then i will join.

I agree with the point you seem to be making. I hate when people give that response to my lack of faith (agnostic, myself. Maverick Knight, actually. Developed it myself, complicated, won't go into it, here). "Well if I'm right, you get something bad. If you're right, nothing bad happens to me." Yeah? Well look, those are not the only two possibilities. What if you've upset God by adhering mindlessly to a bastardized version of his word? Meanwhile, I might be safer, by being open to the possibility, but refusing to accept it as the undisputed truth.

Added...you know, I almost doubted that the point of this question would go over Antone's head. Then I remembered, this is Yahoo Answers.

mum let's see chance of Scientology being true are like 0% read the info when other people have posted answers about it , do some research , You'd be much safer being atheist or sadly even Christain or Muslim then dabbling in this garbage , unless you want to suffer their wrath and manipulation when you realize it s complete garbage and try to leave.

We could make the same speculation about any belief , but I mean I don't expect you all to become helmets because Crowley was on to something with the Book of the Law , I mean at least Crowley understood The will of the individual and true spirituality at least he had solid grounds to inspire a new belief , Hubbard had none of this , I accept any belief may be right but I'm not going to start believing in every single religion just in case

Actually no. That logic can be applied to any religion. The problem is that Scientology is an option among many, which is why the problems that come with faith exist.
