Default Scientology is a trainwreck, why can't I look away?

I've read a bunch of the articles and they are freaks, but I am so fascinated by it. I cant believe they get so sucked into it. Then again, I was in a cult, so who am I to judge? I was mostly amused by it, until I read they were opposed to breastfeeding. WTF? Damageing the health of infants goes too far! I think we should instigate a fight between the Jihadists' and the Scientologists. By their own doctrine, nonbelievers deserve death too. The Jihadists' and the Scientologists can duke it out on Pay Per View. Thats one way I would pay to be a part of it!

Scientology is no different from any other religion, really. It's just as absurd and irrational, and to its true believers, it actually does make sense.

It bothers me, personally, because the church of Scientology is actually a giant pyramid scheme.

Scientology is a scam for money. Scientologists are brainwashed into believing Scientology's lies so that they hand over their money for audits or donations.

Yeah I agree, it is absolutely fascinating in a horrible way.

I am a critic of Scientology as a brief review of my Q&A will show, indeed I even caught the attention of one particular Scientology's on this site...
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnSseoAUriXeJ22jBlyVv0QgBgx.?qid=200606 25061002AAKDm4y

Over the years I have probably read more on this topic than any other topic, ranging from books to court trials, to ex-member testimonials, research, cult experts, etc...

I find the videos on http://www.xenutv.com very interesting...

They believe that children are just ancient the tans in a small body, thus a child is fully responsible for itself and its actions just as much as an adult - so there practices highlight this.

"Michael Leube, a 10-year Scientologist and sea org member committed suicide in July, 1989."

I'm sure you've seen them but these are some sites on the web critical of Scientology for your fascination!
