Default How does somebody achieve "Serenity" on an E-meter? (Scientology)?

How could somebody achieve Serenity on an E-meter/Electrometer used by Scientologists? What makes the meter read Serenity? Could somebody explain because it sounds pretty much like BS to me honestly. Is there any way you can cheat the system?
Yeah Just learned about it in world religions class. This isn't even a religion it's just a book some crazy WWII vet came up with after he got booted out of the navy

You can't, because the "E-Meter" is just nonsense.

Don't squeeze it hard. I've tried it, it works, because it's simple pressure that determines it.

You'd have better luck looking for it in the "Science Fiction" section of your local video store.

You might just as well plug yourself into an E machine and call it daddy.
Wake up and smell the realities. God is real. Jesus came and died for our sins. If we don't accept Him and His Ways, we can only blame ourselves. God is everywhere in everything. You don't need a machine to tell if you feel the sun on your face do you? Nope. It is as warm as it is real even though you don't see or feel it at night you know it is still there. God is there too, we just sometimes shut Him out so we don't have to deal with not being boss.

You can either pay them enough, or you can make yourself into a superconductor, as an e-meter is literally a simplified version of a tool used to measure electrical resistance

Your first question: "How could somebody achieve Serenity on an E-meter/Electrometer used by Scientologists? "

The easy answer is "they can't" because the whole principle of e-meters are ridiculous. But if you are looking for a Scientologists justification of how someone could "achieve Serenity" using an e-machine you would have to understand a bit more about the organization.

They believe they are immortal spirits that transcend lifetimes. Working with the e-meter helps them with their Theatons. The higher your OT (operating Tetons) level, the closer you are to "Serenity."

If you are really interested in the mechanics behind the e-meter here is a great link from a neutral website in regards to it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-meter

To answer your question: "Is there any way you can cheat the system?"

Yes, there are accounts of members who escaped the cult listing methods to "cheat" the machine:

WNW.exscientologykids.com

This also includes accounts of the much darker side of the cult, coerced abortions, pedophilia, human trafficking, brainwashing, criminal misconduct, etc...

And in reference to you additional details: "This isn't even a religion it's just a book some crazy WWII vet came up with after he got booted out of the navy."

I'm afraid it is much more sinister than that. It is a murderous cult that destroys families and ruins lives.

Seem that u HIV not understand the E-meter.

The E-meter helps to HIV some indications of problems and where to address the questions that will help the person to fined what is what create this problem... and nothing else.

The E-meter mi sure the real Resistance of the body, and seem that the problems create some Resistance that can be find with the E-meter.

The E-meter helps to find what is "the why", and to address to "this why". Other wise will be difficult to difference the true problems with the fantasies.

E-meter is not used for that purpose. It is used to identify the reactive mind. So if something bothers someone, the e-meter will show it. Then the auditor will focus on that response until it is gone. That is when the person conquered there reactive mind in that respect.
