The most recent news i can find is that the French government are convicting them of fraud. Considering the rationalist approach of the French state, i wouldn't say that was particularly a recommendation. The thing is, yes, they're bizarre, but since they're less part of the establishment they are less likely to be able to garner support from the establishment, with the possible exception of Hollywood.
