What is all this bullsh!t about Scientology?

People seem to think it's some insane cult in which people believe in that Xena crap or whatever people are calling it... That is a complete lie. I have been to the church and it was actually really normal and there was no "Xena" or any brainwashing crap going on like many people claim happens to people. All they do is help people, almost like a therapist in a way, along with other things. My dad used to be an auditor for the church and he did not have a cult-like experience or any freaky stuff. He actually helped a lot of people who had major problems and it was amazing how much of a difference he made. And NO I am not saying this because I am brainwashed in case you were going to bash on me for that.
Can anyone who has actually experienced what the organization is like, not just from hearing it from other people or the media, give a rational opinion on it? I think what the media portrays it as is unbelievably inaccurate.

I don't really have any accurate information on it. All I know is that it sounds a lot more awesome than Christianity, but equally implausible.

I am a Scientology's, have been to several different organizations, brushed elbows with its senior executives, have trained intensively, have hung out with the newbies, studied, been audited etc etc etc...

you re right. These guys DONT KNOW. They see Internet posted stuff (that's intended to back people away from it) and not having any other experience, will accept it as truth.

Its always the same regurgitated false information. Hardly anyone actually has studied even one bit of the ACTUAL subject - and when they have, its normally part of one book which they didn't even fully understand.

- Some haters are just anti-anything "religious". Doesnt matter what it is.
-Others come from different faiths who demand their way is right and all else is wrong
-Most just dint know anything other than the whack stories available on the net; hell, if I wasn't a Scientologist and heard that stuff, I might have an opinion like them.

I'm not quite sure if your only asking about the b.s. rumors out there about it or if youre asking more.... so for now, i'll just leave it at "yeah, youre right".

(others should learn to go to the source before they pretend to be authorities in fields which they really dont know squat about)
