I am a Scientologist and I am proud of it; but when I told my parents and my friends that I was one, they all came out with answers like;
"Scientology is evil"
"Its not a religion."
"the devils minions work with Scientologists."
I dint believe in God, or any of that other stuff; and I'm not just being a naive teen; i have considered all my options, and have looked into the depths of Scientology and know what I'm getting into, so what i ask is; whats wrong with it? Its no different to any other religion, but you dint see anyone else calling Christianity evil.
So for some sane people out there; can you answer my question?

Im not religious at all. Scientology is just silly. It was created by a bunch of money hungry twits to get rich off of a book and they took it to a whole other level using celebrities to promote it to make more money. Why is it that nobody inside their own beliefs can see their beliefs for what they are?
Because it demands money and is not free. You have to pay ?1,000s to practise it, which proves that the church of Scientology is greedy and does not care truly for it's followers and that it's all a scam.
You could call me a Christian I guess, because I believe in God and Jesus, but I know that much of the Bible is a scam as well, because God wouldn't send people to hell if God loved them all and God wouldn't punish people for being Gay, having sex before marriage etc. You get many bad people in this world who will tell you lies and half truths just to make money and gain status. To be honest I think that much of the bible portrays God (which stands for Grand Overall Designer) as something evil at times, which is not true at all. You really think that these vicars who have been looking at child porn are true Christians? Would you believe anything that they tell you? The Bible is writ en by people who will take advantage, just like the book of Scientology. Believe what you feel in your heart. If it feels/sounds corrupt or wrong in any way then it's not right; it is evil and in no way going to bring you the kind of happiness that is truly fulfilling.
Yes I believe that life does exist beyond our universe. It has to. Every star is a potential life source to a potential universe. It is not possible for us to 'prove' that this is so with our own eyes because the closest star is a light year away. We do not have the technology to travel light years but people have spoken of alien abductions and part of me believes them. How do we know that God hasn't created other civilizations light years from here, or that they have a different spiritual realm all together? Scientology is not genuine. Any religion which demands your money is not right.
For people that say that science is evil, yes it can be at times. The people who create aspartame and make billions of people sick and give innocent rats cancer in order to test their own awful creation, that is evil. But the way our bodies work and that way that plants grow, the way that the sun keeps us all alive that is not evil, it's science and spirituality working as one.

They say that because it has a bad reputation, thanks to certain high profile people being cytologists, and most of those high profile people being idiots (was it Tom Cruise who went insane on that show?). I'll bet you they actually know very little about it. Try educating them about it, maybe they'll help.

Scientology's not evil. Just retarded. Why would you base your beliefs on a book that you can find in the science FICTION section? And the belief of Scientology is not evil. It's just the fact that you pay money to be a part of/advance in that religion. If that's not evil it's FD up at least. Christianity was the same in that respect until Martin Luther and now money doesn't buy you into heaven. So no i don't think you're naive but your religion still is.

You are rather gullible eh? A religion does not charge money to be a member. A religion believes in a higher power outside this world. A religion allows all to its services. Scientology does none of these and is not a religion, more a feel good shakedown by some very good con artists.

This has to do with how vulnerable people feel about religion itself. They attack what they think might attack their beliefs, without actually looking, or label it "evil" or whatever. They burned witches and "heretics" in the old days, now they just call something they don't understand evil or crazy etc.
