Default Is anyone else concerned about Scientology?

Scientology is now advertising on television. Does anyone else find this incredibly disconcerting? It seems more like a cult than a religion to me, and I'm surprised so many people are buying into it.

Any and all comments are welcome. Support it, bash it, troll me, I don't care, ha ha. I've presented my opinion and I'd like to see what other people think about Scientology.

Those folks are just Batsheva crazy.

But concerned? Nah, it's just a bunch of gullible people giving their money to a Ponzi Scheme.

No, I am not concerned about that, nor am I concerned about the advertisement of the local churches on the channels here. Fill pews, get more money. Follow the way of God rise above it all, it is worldly and therefore, I am not concerned ever about it or other religion, only the reality of God an His word of truth as it is written in the Holy Bible.

Honestly, people who are stupid enough to fall for it deserve it.

And I think of their commercials just like all the other random religious commercials I see on TV: I ignore them.

.

Not much about this organization actually qualifies to have it called a "religion".

But......They are definitely expanding.

They bought a formerly elegant abandoned building in our city and are spending LOTS of money to rehab it.

Money doesn't seem to be a problem for them at all.

the reason why it is so popular is because there are a lot of " movie stars" who belong to this cult.

I would be concerned about Scientology, if we didn't have Islam. Islam is like Scientology + Christianity + Nazism on steroids.

I've always felt Scientology has seemed a bit like a cult. There's not much they could do at this point that would make me see them as more than a crazy bunch of nutters.

Scientology is a dangerous lecherous CULT. They really do steal your money. Look up Lisa McPherson. They make fake Youtube accounts posing as Anonymous and try to make Anon look like the enemies. They are soul sucking demons and it's in your best interest to stay away from them. If you're in the church GET OUT while you still can. If you know someone in the church GET THEM OUT. Chances are they'll end up dead with barely any money in their bank account like Lisa McPherson did. Watch your back. They're everywhere.

Anon for Life!

Any religious advertisement that gives the impression that it has 'the answer' or is 'the truth' or 'the only way' is a lousy desperate arrogant way of luring in and converting people, so far Scientology has done a few of those so I'm not entirely pleased with it. I try to respect all paths but I just can't stand it when any religious organization goes around saying "Pick me! Pick me!"

As for concern, I'd only be really worried if it was a religion that pushes people to cause any kind of harm or destruction; I won't name any names but I'm sure you can guess a few of those.

"Seems like a cult" is pretty general. I've been a Scientologist for nearly 39 years and find it to have the answers I needed to be happy in life and help others as well. I haven't found 1 thing in Scientology that didn't work for me. I've studied it and know what it is. Scientology works for me. That's what matters.
