I don't know, its extremely crazy. They believe each spirit or person is a goddess of their own or something like that. Just stay away from it.

They don't really worship a god.

They believe alien souls have attached themselves to humans which causes suffering, and when you die you reincarnate with the alien soul still attached. The goal is to learn how to free yourself from the alien soul and then you become a free spirit.

They charge a lot of money to teach you how to do this.

Xenu is an evil alien emperor who brought the aliens to Earth, put them around a volcano and exploded an H-bomb, killing them, and it is those souls that attached themselves to humans. Xenu is not a god.

If you want to believe in a creator god, it's OK, but it's not part of Scientology.

I think his name is Xenu and he whipped up the universe out of something or other some 50 billion years ago. We're part of it but we went and got ourselves caught up in matter and he's been looking' to get us outta dutch ever since. But fear not, L.Ron Hubbard has discovered a miraculous machine that can cleanse us of the luckiness in matter and refit us for zipping around in a pure state. Just fork over fistfuls of money and his followers will happily cleanse your spirit.

Definition:
The term Scientology is taken from the Latin word "SCIO" : which means, in the fullest sense of the word, "knowing", and the Greek word "LOGOS" which simply means "study of".

The subject of Scientology is further defined as :

"the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, universes and other life. "

Scientology is a new religion. It is an applied religious philosophy. By ?applied? is meant that it is for use in life and living. You actually use it in your day to day life to change and improve existing conditions. It is a practical religion.
All religions if you study them have a basic philosophy, but they also have certain dogma, rituals and observances and a certain faith or belief is required. There is nothing wrong with this , but Scientology is not that kind of religion. It does acknowledge the principle of God or the Supreme Being but does not try to define or describe this principle, leaving it up to the individuals own understanding and awareness. It is simply called the Eighth Dynamic

It is also not a messianic religion. This means there is no worship of prophets or messiahs or gods. It is not belief or faith based. In Scientology a truth is true for you only according to your own observation and experience .
