Shi'a Muslims: Am I doing a good thing or a bad thing?

I've been posting hundreds of questions on YA specially on R&S section telling people about the vast differences between us (the real Muslims) and terrorists. They now know that all those terrorists are non-Shi'a. I was just wondering whether you think this is a good thing or not, because why would we take the blame for what others do? If they are the extremist ones, why should everyone think we're like them?

I've explained to them that there are two different versions of Islam. One that teaches hate and terrorism, intolerance and disrespect towards other faiths etc (what non-Shi'a follow) and the version that is for the open-minded peaceful and real Muslims (Shi'a).

If you think I'm doing a good thing, star my question.
Non-Muslims hate Islam right? Because they think all Muslims are extremist terrorists. At least, now some of them like Shi'a Muslims and despise the other group. Maybe this will one day make them curious and they'll learn about the real Islam, that is the version we follow.

2 of my best friends are Shia - both of them from Iran one now lives in NY and the other in Canada.

4 of my best friends are Sunny - Although they have been raised here in America since they were teenagers, they all come from different areas from the Middle East.

Many of my best friends are Atheists, Jews & Christians.

All of these people I just wrote about, we have been friends for decades and decades and we get along just fine.

None of them miss a gathering or holiday party - that includes Easter & Christmas....

My Muslim friends consider themselves Muslim and follow Islam....., so please do not label them as non-Muslim because they hang & keep company with "NON-Muslim" like myself (teal)

On 9/11 - 36 of my friends and neighbors perished at the Twin Towers....

14 of those 36 were Muslim friends I've known for years...

I miss each and every one of them..!

Perhaps instead you preaching about Sunny/Shia Islam to the R&S section, go & preach to these "extremists" who give Islam a bad name.

And also, while you are at it, enough with these "blasphemy" laws against the world for mohamad..!!!

Brother, I'm glad that you've been clearing to non-Muslims the truth about our religion Islam - that it is one of peace and tolerance. Those who have been responsible for the bombings and the violence are the Wahhabi's and they are not of Islam. Far from it. Everything they teach and say is just plain scary and there is nothing peaceful about it. In my opinion, there is a difference between the Wahhabi's and the Sunnis. The Sunnis are those who truly follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah, just like us. We, by definition, are Sunnis too as we Shias have also ALWAYS followed the Qur'an and the true Sunnah I don't know where the Wahhabi's get their Sunnah from and I don't want to know. Wahabism teaches intolerance, terrorism and hate against anything that's different from them. Its their sick teachings that has been the main reason why Islam's image of peace is distorted. Isn't it all their bombings and their many acts of terrorism that is what non-Muslims are angered by? For God's sake, the wahabis are even attacking Shias and other groups of Muslims - they are destroying the Ummah from within. I have read and seen all that the wahabis do and say, and I know that there is just nothing Islamic at all about them. We should clear up to people that those who follow their path are not from among us Muslims, not one bit and we wholeheartedly condemn it.

Again brother, I'm glad you're trying to teach people about what Islam is truly about People who have studied the Shia Madh'ab will see that it only teaches peace, tolerance and mercy, because it is the way of Islam. I pray that more see its truth, that it is the way to prosperity. God bless.
