Sure it has, if we were all honest with ourselves. I have studied. I have faith.
I am Jewish. It helps me live a better life. In the end, even if it is all "fake, false, a hoax" it has still allowed me to be a better person and is hurting no one.
I have faith. That is all I need.
Jesus IS The Truth!! (John 14:6.) He doesn't lie to HimSelf and He is also GOD!! (Outside of His Resurrection there is absolutely NO Hope for mankind. Period!!) No 'other' rose up from the dead for 'you'!!
>>Did it occur to anyone that it may All be False.
Did it ever occur to you that most people practice their chosen religion because of PERSONAL experiences and PHILOSOPHICAL reasons, not empirical evidence?
The Qumran was brought to us 1400 years ago. it gives the steps a fetus grows, people didn't have that knowledge back then. not a single apostrophe has been changed from the original. there are many more miracles within the Qumran. Once you believe in it, you will have this feeling in like any other, one that's like you've found your long lost home.... a good feeling.... a great feeling.....
Heh Heh they are in books just like Santa and Mary Poppins you wouldn't deny Santa would you as for Budd thee are tens of thousands of Stupa with bits of him inside them so there ( I think they must have minced him )
Most people don't realize that the proof is right in front of you, you mom or dad, the trees, the air, etc. That is the proof that God and Jesus exist.
Jesus is the only one that is not in the tomb. Jesus is the only one that made the claim that he is the Son of God. The Holy Bible is true by these tests
1. It is an accurate historical record
2. It is an accurate archaeological record - all those lost cities and countries are exactly where the Bible said they were.
3. All of its prophecies have or are now being fulfilled
4. Lastly and the most important - CHANGED LIVES!
Historically, Buddhism was more of a philosophical teaching as much as it was the way to break away from the cycle of reincarnation, which was a dominant belief in ancient India. Gautama Siddhartha was a real dude.
It's a personal choice. As an atheist, I do find that there is a shocking lack of evidence, empirical or otherwise, that suggests the existence of "God". But, for those that have the faith and practice their religion peacefully and respectfully, good for them.
Stan's anger doesn't much upset anyone in the Mormon family other than Gary, who confronts Stan and the other boys the next day, pointing out that he believes his religion does not need to be factually true, because it still supports good family values and helping the poor. Gary condemns their bigotry and ignorance, stating:
"All I ever did was try to be your friend, Stan, but you're so high and mighty you couldn't look past my religion and just be my friend back. You've got a lot of growing up to do, buddy. Suck my balls."
Most religions started as a guide to living . They started as laws and tenets for societies to live by. Over a period of time, the idea of god got immersed into it. If we remove the fairy tales and stories and myths from the religions and look at it concretely then you will find all religions preach pretty much the same thing. A religion in itself is not false. It is the beliefs and the idea that a higher power is going to punish or reward you is what is false and wrong with religion.
