Can I pray to god in a shinto shrine or a buddist temple or church or hall or whateve
I travel a lot and find many different places where people pray. What if my religion is different from the one that is practiced at that place. Is this rude or sinful?
I don't think so - most religions welcome visitors in a hope to convert them. Seldom does the congregation or minister even notice someone sitting alone in the back. I think it is wonderful to be able to find your God in any church or glen, at home or in a forest - I think more of the world should be that way.
As long as you are respectful of other religious places, I do not think it matters where you pray. You can pray in a forest as well as a cathedral, by a stream as well as a shrine, etc. As the druids say/said "All gods are one God"...The Supreme Being is different things to different people/cultures, but if you pray in and from your heart, where you are will not matter.
