What are Shinto beliefs, rituals, practices, and holidays in Japan?

What do Shinto consider to be sacred to them?

If you are Shinto, why do you follow Shinto instead of other religions?

That's a pretty broad question and it would take way too long to explain it all here. Just use kipped. A lot of my family are Shinto and it's mainly due to tradition.

Most Japanese are polytheist.

I believe in Shinto. Cos it is out of the concept of western religion.
There are no statue or icon like other religion, but a mirror to face yourself. Shinto is rather polytheism and the Gods vary. Some are legendary Gods and others are an incarnation of natural phenomenon and defunct persons.
