Piss-bottle Jones says

as long as it isn't in pearl harbor it's just fine, it's the location people object to, not the building itself. how convenient that so many people choose to overlook that

well aside from the fact that that war ended a over 1/2 a century ago i doubt anyone would care.

also. the Japanese were fighting in the name of Japan not Buddha.

and there are Buddhist temples in Hawaii.

Since Hawaii has a lot of people who are of Japanese descent, I expect that they already have those in Hawaii.

There are Shinto shrines in Hawaii, which has (and always had) a large Japanese population. No one cares, and no one cares about the Park 51 mosque except a few right wingers looking to paint Obama as a Muslim. Gingrich and Palin should worry about their own trailer park meths labs and let NYC handle its own business.

Hawai'i has a large population of Japanese Americans and such shrines and temples already exist.
