Does anybody use Cannabis as a Hebrew, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Shinto, Buddhist, or
Cultivation and enjoyment of Cannabis sacrament is a fundamental human right provided by God and protected by the first Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
As a Zen Buddhist, I use it regularly. It allows me to explore perspective and angles I wouldn't normally have the capability of. It's a wonderful, consciousness expanding substance, and there is nothing wrong with it. The problem is that after smoking, you'll no longer be able to digest propaganda nearly as easily, if at all.
The Declaration of Independence was written on hemp paper. Ironic?

Alex, Purple Haze is great. I just finished my blueberry chronic, so I'm sad D:
I agree. In it's natural form, it needs to be left alone and remain legal. It was legal for most of our nation's history. People do not realize that drug laws are comparatively young in our nation's history.
I agree. It should be a choice. If someone has a serious profession such as surgeon or mechanic for passenger planes, then they should test people. Otherwise, average Jose should be allowed if they aren't driving and aren't operating machinery. Alcohol does much worse, and it is legal. The only reason it isn't legal is because many of the people in Senate are from the 'refer madness' education, and they fear what it could do to people. It is true that it damages your brain, but so does alcohol and other legal stuff.....so I don't know why the gov doesn't just make a simple form of it and tax it for sale. Sounds fair to me. Believe it or not..in the state I live in....Nevada..it's a felony!
I agree with you. Drug laws are Unconstitutional, as is the War on (some) drugs. Do some research, and you'll see why.
As you've seen, a minority of Christians use cannabis. I actually got to meet the couple who run green earth ministries. Some very nice, intelligent and humble folks. However, the federal government has pursued a long, costly legal assault against them - seeking to imprison them, steal their home and church, etc.

Indian Sikhs use it, too. So do Rastas. American Christians (most of them) see cannabis as an ultimate evil. American Christians can be a curious breed, to say the least. However, in my work in the drug law reform community, I've been surprised by the support we've received from many non-fundamentalist Christians who want an end to Prohibition (the War on (some) Drugs.) It is ridiculous to think any plant is "evil," the only thing that can be described as "evil" is the way some folks use it, or attempt to crush those who do.
