Sikh church or Sikh temple or Sikh mosque is called Gurdwara literally meaning house of Guru. I am a Sikh and been to a Gurdwara many times. One who enters into Gurdwara need to remove shoes and cover his/her head. Then Sikhs bow in front of their Holy book "Guru Granth Sahib". They read, recite or discuss versions from Guru Granth Sahib during congregation. There is certain period dedicated to hymns singing and a prayer called Ardass. Holy parsed is served after Ardass. Then there is langar which is free vegetarian food. Music is normally indian classical music. Sikh Scriptures are written in Punjabi language and therefore mostly the language is punjabi. However in areas where non Punjabi community attends Gurdwara, translation is displayed on screen or a different language is used.
