They are the ones that people sadly mistake as Muslims.
Many were killed and mistreated for being mistaken as Muslims.

Always reminds me of the joke about the army's new weapon in the middle east:

"Sikh-heating missiles!"

I don't know much about them but I do know they don't like Muslims so that's a bonus for me.

Sikhism is by far the most loyal and honorable and clean religion that as ever existed. The word "Hals" means pure and had it not been for the sacrifices that the brave Sikh Gurus made, my religion (Hinduism) would have disappeared long ago. Sikhism has always protected Hinduism like an older brother protects a younger brother and even in the future this special relationship will continue.

I think the principles they base their lives on and how they live each day is awesome. I'm just not sure what the foundation for their belief is? If they believe in the God of the Bible, then I support their foundation. If they do not believe in God, then all their other practices may be in vain.

I must confess I don't know much about the religion, but my impression of Sikhs is that they value hon our, duty and respect.
I never heard of Sikhs starting a war or Sikhs oppressing women or Sikh fundamentalists, so all in all they seem like very decent people.

And yes, the turbans are pretty cool.
