Default Please help: which religion is stricter- Sikhism or Hinduism?

I'm writing a story about a Hispanic girl who falls in love with a man from India. I'm gonna make the guy come from a really traditional family.

Basically, i guess, i just wanna learn which religion has more traditional values? thanks in advance.

If you really wanna drive the classic "Indian" family home you're gonna want to make them Hindus. India is a classic theocratic society based on Hinduism. It would enhance your story I think.

Probably Hinduism. Sikhism was created by former followers of Hinduism.

I think it's Hinduism since it's been in India for centuries.

VIVA LA RAZA!
