Default Why is Sikhism the only religion that offered religious equality from it's start?

Seeing as Guru Nanak was probably one of the earliest revolutionary thinkers who stated "that one should respect women as from her man is born", and that admission into the Sikh brotherhood, the Kalsha is even available to women. I am just wondering why is it that several other groups of people who claim that they are the voices of a "kind and just" God have historically never and even to this day do not offer women the same religious status as men even when they are far more powerful and well known then Sikhism ever was?

Sounds like a serious issue. Atheists do the same thing without the mythology. Atheist don't carry knives either.

This is for Warrior:

There are a couple newer religions than Sikhism.

One of them is Bahai, & Cao Dai is coming up there too.

Admission to the Sikh brotherhood is EVEN available to women!?! Most religions allow women to be part of them!!! You must be kidding, right?
Just out of curiosity: Which great religious leader among Sikhs is a woman? (because I truly don't know - I'm not all that familiar with the Sikh religion).
When Jesus came, women were included among His disciples. The first evangelist was a woman. Each great miracle He did was at the request of a woman. Women were prophets. Many branches of Christianity have not been up to par with Jesus in respecting women, but that doesn't change what He did.

Equal rights were also stated in the Bahai faith.

Equal rights were practiced in Gnosticism, Zoroastrianism, and early Christianity (from the time period of 50-125 CE there were more female Christian leaders than male).

Sikhs offered it from the beginning because they reject the caste system, believe in equality for all, our guru said we are equals in the eyes of god and should be considered equals in the eyes of each other! Everyone is to live right, and treat each other with respect (hint the fact that we use the word "Jo" at the end of a sentence). We are to accept all people regardless of religion and gender, and judge matters fairly.

Even when the world is full of ignorance, Sikhs stand up for what is right!!! Guru Nanak Dev Jo said there is only one god, and he we should live right and do right. work hard, and help others. Sikh churches (hardware's) are the only place that feed Pol for free regardless of religion, caste, gender, everyone is welcome. the golden temple alone feeds up to 70,000 Pol a day, maybe more. the Sikh religion should be better understood, then maybe ppl will realize the truth and stop making assumptions. sikhism is a great religion, and it should be recognized for the good and pure that it is!

Both men and women are suppose to be treating equally. Sikh people are given the middle name "Singh" for a male, and 'Kaur" for a female, because it justifys that both are princes and princesses. Everyone should read up on sikhism, its one religion that truly follows the path of god. Ud be surprised at how wonderful this religion truly is! Muslim men believe they are superior to women, sikhs do not, hindus have males do certain things and females cannot, sikhs do not have that. When a person is a true sikh (amritshak), they are to live morally, and be willing to give up their own life inorder to save anothers. There is only one god, he is the one god everyone prays to; we have spirtual leaders and disciples that help us better understand gods word, but we do not call them god (they are our gurus aka our teachers). Sikhs preach about one god, and follow the teachings of the gurus which allow us to become closer to god. Waheguru ji ki kalsa, Waheguru ji ke feteh! May peace be with everyone!!! :]
