Default Sikhism ?

Hi

I was just wondering if Guru Nanak is the God in Sikhism or the founder/disciple, if he is the founder then who's the God.
Also, what does it say in the Guru Grant sahib or Sikhism in general about interracial or interfaith marriages/ relationships

Thanks in advance
XXX

The name of the deity in Sikhism is "Ek Onkaar" or "Akaal Puraakh".

According to Sikhism, a Sikh must marry someone of the HalsSA ie a Sikh....However generally Sikhs usually marry only amongst Sikhs but the ones that marry outside Sikhism usually stay confined to the other dharmic religions - ie Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.....You won't find Sikhs marrying Muslims, Christians or Jews but you will find Sikhs marrying Hindus, Buddhists and Jains.....

Guru Nanak is not God, but he is the divine Guru filled with God's spirit. Guru Nanak and God are one in the sense that Guru Nanak was completely immersed in God's will and thus only desired to do what was right. I am a Sikh, but I Stilll have a hard time putting this into words.
God in Sikhism is called indifferentnTytmes some have already been mentioned by other people. Waheguru is another name not yet mentioned. Sometimes God is referred to as the Guru too.

Sikhs believe there is only one formless God of the universe who is known by differant names in various cultures and religions. This does not mean that Sikhs agree with everyones description of God.

Sikhism is strongly founded upon principles of equality so a true Sikh would have no problem with interracial marriage. Interreligious marriage is differant though. I know some Sikhs have married outside their faith, but many Sikhs feel it is best to marry other Sikhs because in Sikhism marriage is seen as two souls becoming one, and many Sikhs feel that it is important that their spouse share their religious beliefs.
