Default is there something common in SIKHISM and ISLAM?can you explain please?

i heard many times from MUSLIM friends that the founder of SIKHISM GURU NANAK JI was the follower of Islam, that,s why he started holy book by saying ABBAL ALLAH NOOR OU PAYA ETC. what you can say please?
dear learner every body knows guru Nanak,s parents were not Muslim .they were Hindu (Kshatriya)but he born as Hindu and find out that the body that is born is not me i am different than this and he realizes as a soul that is no hindu no muslim and not and never sikh. so that level was already developed through THE HINDU,S HOLY SYSTEM that was not new for any body. so be learner (shishya)not sikh only who does not believe what ever the teachings of GURU NANAK DEV JI. he was pure snatan purukh.like one hindu should be. thanks.
actually the majority of sikhs are very confused they can not understand what to do and whome to believe that,s why in only 500 years they devided in to many many different believs. think like GURU NANAK JI AND GURU GOVIND AND MAKE YOURSELF PURE SOUL.THEN IT MAY BE A CHANCE FOR YOU ALL TO FINDOUT THE REALITY THAT YOU ARE BELONGS TO SNATAN PURUKH OR SANATAN SANSKRITY.THAT IS IT SELF THE CREATOR.THANKS.

I think it comes from a mix of 2 different religions. I am not aware of those religions. My best guess would that it is Islam, Buddhism, and/or Hinduism.

I checked, it is Islam and Hinduism.

well i do not much but whatever is visible that looks that both religions believers keep beard and turban and almost dress the same.Muslim do not drink and do not eat the pig.but Sikh peoples drink a lot and eat every thing a lot and in their temples 24 hrs service is there.Sikh peoples do not smoke BUT Muslims can not live without smoke. both religions came from other religions not a independent religions. Islam came from Jews/christens .Sikhism came from Hindu and Islam etc. so what is common in there no body knows. thanks.

Yes, there are several items. Yet it is too long to develop the subject here. A really long subject. What you have to do is to read the history of Guru Nanak and the birth of Sikhism. I think the subject deserves more in-depth study.

I hope you agree with me.

I think Islam had a collaboration with Sikhism .They polished their rough edges and jammed Hinduism in between. Marriage is common.

Yes. Ignorance is common in both. From their dress itself you will get the explanation.

Ok...

U are really confused..

Guru Granth Sahib is a collection of works by a lot of knowledgeable people and not just Sikh gurus.
The lines "Avval Allah no or papaya..." were written by saint Gabie and were compiled because of the great MSG it contained that all humanity originates from one lord and no one is inferior to the other.

And by the way Guru Gobind Singh and not Guru nanak dev compiled the holy book.

Tell me one thing.... If he were a "Follower" of islam why would he start a new religion??I mean if he was happy with islamic thougts he cudve' just told ppl to follow it but he dint.

Even his parents weren't muslims.

I dont knw y do some ppl make such stuff up... may be he was so great that they want to prove that he belonged to their religion.. for their benefit maybe.

But in his own words "Na hum hindu naahi musalmaana."
"I m neither a hindu nor a muslim"

Hope that makes sense to you.\

*edit*

I really dont knw wat u interpreted of my ans.... !!
Anyways.....what u said was wat i said... he cannot be considered to belong to one particular religion.to learn about sikhism from U wud be th last thing sikhs need. And i cannot be like my guru even if i take a thousand rebirths. They were indeed great souls.Thanks.
