Hinduism is the essence of every religions. swami Vivekananda proved it in his speech during the world religion meet & Hinduism is as old as the holy Vedas
Islam is very different from Hinduism. Islam is Abraham religion that focuses on one god. Hinduism is an Indian religion that focuses on multiple god(s) and the philosophy is way different.
Muslims and Sikhs believe in one God. In fact, Sikhs use the Arabic word for God, "Rab," which means Lord. Hindus also believe in One God but believe that God makes Himself available in millions of avatars, which humans can create as well, thus the idols that Hindus create and worship. Muslims believe that God, although invisible, must be worshiped directly. Sikhism has borrowed elements from Islam and Hinduism, and some say that Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion, might have converted to Islam but wanted to bring Hindus to Islam through a new religion which would be in the middle.
First came Islam, then Hinduism, and then Sikhism, Sikhism is the youngest religion on the world and the 5Th largest. Also, Sikhism has absolutely nothing to do with Islam and/or Hinduism, Islam believes that the only ways to be considered God's child is that you under take the religion of Islam otherwise you are not good and say Jihad is the way to make people understand if they do not otherwise, and are monotheistic. Hinduism is polytheistic, and has many gods and goddesses they believe in for certain things. Sikhism is monotheistic, and it does not believe in heaven or hell, they do not force any one into their religion, and Guru Nanak DID NOT CONVERT to Islam and did NOT want to make Hindus convert to Islam, because at the era that it was founded, Mughals (Islamic) were forcing people into Islamic religion and the caste system of the Hindus was becoming a big issue. That is when Guru Nanak came about and set the foundation of Sikhism, where no one forces anyone into Sikhism and that everyone is equal, no one is higher in caste or lower. Islamic religion's holy book is the Q'uran, Hinduism's holy book are the Vedas and Upanishads, and the Sikh holy book is the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Also Hinduism and Islam, both fast, whereas Sikhism does not believe in fasting at all.
hopefully this helped...
Islam has nothing to do with these two philosophies.
Islam had been revealed Adam to Mohammad time to time according to necessity to believe and worship One and Only God.
The followers of Islam are called as Muslims ( person who submit him self to God Almighty Allah), There religious book Quran had been revealed by God Almighty 1432 years ago to a illiterate man called Muhammad desert . He is Messenger, and Prophet of God, The Quran contains 114 Chapters and 6000+ verses. It had been revealed in 23 years, to taught by practical way through the Messenger him self.
Islam revealed to Prophet Muhammad as Last testament to witness all the previous religions given to the Messengers of the Almighty God Allah.
The Holy Quran says, 41:43 - 041.043 Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the messenger before thee: that thy lord has at his Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.
002.136 Say ye: "We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to God (in Islam)."
Hinduism is a philosophy the name was given by the then invaders of India. Them named the religion as Hindu which is the name of the country India. At that time there were for Vedas in the name of Sama, Yasur, Adharvana, and Rig. These Vedas teachings based on One and Only Almighty God. But the followers Hinduism worships idols, images, statues, human, animals, etc. Most of the Hindus not about the major Vedas. Some people follow Bagawath Geeta which is a part of the Mahabarata war. Krishna supposed to be a god came as the driver of Arjuna's chariot and asked fight with the enemies, who were Arjuna's relatives, and teachers. They also follow so many puranas written by various people with out any base.
Sikism is not at all a religion but a Philosophy of Guru Nanak. A sect of people fro Punjab follows, which based on a man made theories.
Small Fry's BFF gives you the best explanation.
Hinduism is probably the oldest religion on earth. However Jains also claim the same.
then came Islam
and the Sikhism is the youngest.
Hindus believe in many Gods(some believe in one), Trinity(Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma), fasts, caste system, worship ghosts, various incarnations, some days are good, others are bad, they have different rituals at birth, marriage and death. Hindus follow Vedas, smarties, Upanishads
Islam believes in Philosophy of Muhammad. They follow Quarn. Islamists believe in a system which divides humans into three categories faithfuls, zooms and Kaffirs. gaffers have no right to live. They believe in fasting for a month called Ramadan, Kaaba(Mecca) is a residential place of God, only Muslims will enter heaven and Muhammad is the final prophet.
Sikhism is the youngest religion in the world. It is based on philosophies of Sikh Gurus and Bhagats. They believe in one God. Any one from any religion can realize God in life during present life, if some one is pure and devout. Seeking forgiveness is given high priority, we are all full of faults and God is merciful, there is no casteism or kafferism, no fasting, God lives in heart, no opting for heaven and hell instead following Gurus commands out of love. Be kind to others including fighting for others rights. Share with needy what you have earned honestly. Every Gurdwara(Place of worship) has langar facility which provides free food to the needy. Guru Granth is their religious scripture/head.
