I don't know a whole lot about Jainism... but Sikhism and Buddhism both formed from Hindu theology... so yes they are similar especially in the teachings of Karma and Dharma

i dint know bout Sikhism and Jainism, but i know that Hindu and Buddha is not similar. Hindu is the oldest religion in the world. in Hindu said there are 15 avatars who saved the earth from being destroyed. 14 of them had already saved the world. only one left, it's Karlik avatars. he is knight riding a horse saving world from human (bad one). and Buddha was made by the 9th avatara (if i do not mistake).

budha was created because people disagree about hindu's ceremony that sacrifice living things. so budha's teaching is being vegetarian and forbid killing another living things.

that's what i know

Aside from all being religions of Asia?

In today's world, they are decidedly different religions, but are considered to have the same (or similar) roots.

Of course, all religions that (can) include deity* can be considered to have the same (or similar) roots.

*Certain forms of Buddhism are philosophical and do not include any deity.

Hinduism - There is a god for every cause , please the gods with money, there are millions of gods. The Chief god(Shiva) is shaped like a male organ. Why Hindus worship it , I dint know .

Sikhism - There is only one God called Akal or Rub, The book is the teacher called Guru.

Jainism - There is no God and you need to purify yourself by following tough monastic life , giving up every thing including any clothes. Do not eat meats nor garlic nor onions nor eggs.

Buddhism - Practice non-violence & meditations going for hours. Sincere meditates can see hallucinations w/o any drugs or may experience cure . Can eat anything as long as it is well cooked. They claim to have the practical way to nirvana caused by your own efforts and not a grace nor a gift as promised by other religions. Nirvana - a new state of being , a permanently happy state(timeless) , beyond the material world.

Almost.

Base of all are the same.

Or you can say - Hinduism is the main - which contains the other 3 as parts hereof.

Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. It has many religions which branch out from it ? Sikhism, Budhism, Jainism. For their identity they refuse to be part of Hinduism.

yes
Hinduism is mother of these religion.
Sikhism is based on combine philosophy Hinduism n Muslim.......
Jainism is based upon Hindu Sakha n drama philosophy.....
Buddhism is totally based on Hindu Sakha philosophy(in this philosophy there is no place for supreme/mystical god)

edit....
for husky..u r wrong.there are 10 avatar of Vishnu.N Karlik is in 10.
edit...
for Buddhas....
there is no need to say anything abet Hinduism if u r illiterate in it...n Ur essay??!!! shows it.dear first read Hindu epics n scriptures n then comment.
Hindu scriptures state clearly that there is only one Supreme God (Elam sad Oprah Bahia Vedanta).
Hinduism is supposed to be of impersonal origin and so are the Gods of Hinduism. They are eternal & though the deities appear to be different & independent, they are really facets of the same Brahman, the Supreme God.
u said 'please the gods with money'...dude Hindus are not doing, Buddhists are doing it..they offers money in temples for Buddha.I'm watching it in Buddha temple near by our house everyday....
