Why do Hindus go to extra leghts to defend Sikhism when Sikhs don't give a shit about
Now I am saying this from my personal experience, most Hindus will go to Lents to defend Sikhism and Sikhs while Sikhs take pleasure in bashing Hindus and their faith. Personally, although I am an Atheist, I have immense respect for Vedic philosophies as well as Buddhism. Saldy most Hindus shun me because I don't profess belief in a deity and don't think that it is necessary to read philosophy and believe in an imaginary friend at the same time.
However I do feel bad when Sikhs refer to Hindus in the worst possible ways while addressing them. What is the reason behind Hindus not being able to come to terms with the fact that Sikhs don;t like them. Is it because of respect for Sikh beliefs or are Hindus just to timid to respond back to Sikhs in kind.
Here on YA some Pakistani trolls, are using Sikh IDs and ask/answering in insulting ways to Hindus, fulfilling their purpose of alienating Sikhs and Hindus
Then there are some foreign bred Sikh youth who are Khalistani by heart and their sole purpose is to abuse Hindus, for not giving them Khali-than. These deluded sikhs have no knowledge of Sikhism and go by copy-paste from Khalistani web sites which give them enough material to bash hindus
WHY Hindus side sikhism ? Because Sikhism is an off-shoot of hinduism and if we take out hindu philosophy from sikh philosophy nothing much is left. Guru Nanak Dev to Guru Gobind Singh taught Bhakti, devotion and Karma Yoga in simple language of the masses.
Sikh gurus rejected useless rituals and tried to wake up masses from their evil social customs, EXACTLY what many Hindu reformers also did ( Like Swami Dayananda, Raja Ram Mohan roy, Vivekananda etc)
We hindus will continue siding with sikhs, despite khalistani sikhs mal-propaganda, because we can not leave Truth for the sake of politics.

It was on behest of couple of Brahmins from Kashmir that Guru Teg Bahadur decide to sacrifice himself to save brahmins of kashmir from tyranny of moguls/muslims.

Sikh sect came into force to save Hindu from Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 16 Th Century. Basically they are Hindu. After Indra Gandhi assignation in 1984 there was lots of Sikh were killed in riots because her killers were Sikh. In any way Hindu is not a sect but a culture. Its one of the oldest way of living. There are many epic written in Hindu philosophy. They are worth reading if you really like to understand Truth Love and Life. Puran, Shastra, Ved, Ramayana and Geeta. One you read Geeta you will understand life better.
Its mainly because of Brahmins had always been against the Sikhs. And especially because Sikhs don't profess belief in deity too. Most of the Sikh problems have cropped up with Brahmins. Your thinking , your mind, your intelligence keeps you as you that's only just like "Mr frog story" conditioned human minds. go watch matrix movie or read all religious scriptures and come to conclusion , if any person really loves god he doesn't criticize another religion , BC god doesn't teach that and his truly/pure devotee or representative also doesn't taught us to criticize how to criticize other religion..

Well in essence that's what it means to be a Hindu - try and accept another faith while keeping ones own and finding some common ground for everyone to work on. Yes I to have heard that a lot of Sikhs do say and do things which is not nice esp in regards to Hindus and again this has a lot to do with how things and issues have been passed down.
The belief that Sikhs came to the rescue of Hindus is another myth, the fact that the people of that region were being picked on by the Muslim murals and by that being killed, taxed and women being raped and being taken as slaves.
So by getting rid of any barriers that might stop them from defending themselves and creating and identity they hence became Sikhs.
The fact is this whole hailstone issue surfaced because the state had become very wealthy and they figured that if they could get their own state then they would get a better deal in running the state. What they have all realized is that the climate is changing and Pakistan is only a hope away - so it is only died down because they kind of understand that right now may not be the right time for this kind of thought.
As for sikhs from aboard they are so out of touch and they do believe they know better, but that comes from living in aboard and adopting their values and yes that can be also said for the rest of the indians who have grown up aboard.
I think Hindu have come to terms that people of different faiths do not like them for whatever reason and a lot of these faiths will continue in the way they want - and yes the main reason is that we will try and to find the god in every situation.
But a time will come when I don't think Hindu's will take this anymore
I am a Hindu and a BraahmaNa. It does not matter to me if anyone responds positively to me or not when I express my appreciation or gratitude to someone.
I believe the Sikhs are great warriors and brave people and defended India against foreign onslaughts on India and its people and religions.
