My dad is Sikh and my mom is Hindu, so I grew up knowing about both religions.
Siv-shaky is pronounced as Shiv-Shakti in Hindi. Shiv (I am sure you know) is Lord Shiv Jo. Shakti is power, but can also refer to a form of Shakti ma.

In the Hindu culture, there is only ONE God (contrary to popular belief). But we have many thousand forms of this God (man, women). Similarily, in Sikhism there is ONE God (ex. eke om jar..) and there are the Gurus who are not God themselves, but divine followers (similar to prophets).

Both religions are very similar. Afterall, Sikhism evolved from Hinduism.

Back to your question: I think Shiv shakti may refer to Lord Shivjis power.

Thank you, I enjoyed reading that, I see that it's almost the same wording as in a few other religions.
Personally, I believe that creation was not a one-off, it happened several times (by different 'gods') and each occasion started a different version of the facts - and therefore, another religion.
Re the concept of SUV - shaky, no, I cannot claim to understand but now I know a little more.

Dear ask er there is great confusion on concept of Shiv and Shakti. Our learned Sikhs are also not sure what they are giving the meaning of Gurbani lines having description of Shiv Shakti.

It is said the that answer of every question lies in Gurbani itself, if not clear at one place one may get answer in one of dozens of other hymns. In your first quote
A A??? A ??? ???? ?? ???? ? Wherever I look, I see the Lord pervading there, in the union of Shiva and Shakti, of consciousness and matter.
Here the meaning is correct, but unfortunately due to lack of Hindi and Sanskrit knowledge, they do not know the meaning of Shiv, one of its meanings is matter and Shakti is power or consciousness, so the meaning should be matter and consciousness and not consciousness and matter.

In 2nd quote ?? ??? ???? ???? ???? ??? ? (then where was mind and where was matter - where was Shiva and Shakti?). This is the 21st Ashtpadi of Sukhmani Sahib, the true Guru says where was the matter and mind, when the Lord God was in His self absorbed form (Sunn Smadhi).
It is also clear the matter and consciousness is created by Lord God Himself on start of this universe.
??? ???? ??? ???? ?? ???? ??? ????? ????? ? Himself creating mind and matter, the Creator subjects them to His command. ????? ????? ??? ???? ??????? ???? ????? ? The Lord enforces His order, He Himself sees all, Through the Guru, He makes some rare one know Him. {{{Guru Amar Daas Ji, Raag Raamkalee 920}}}
