The following are the basic concepts of Sikhism:
WHO IS GOD?, the answer is as defined below:

One Universal Creator God. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace ~ {page one Guru Granth Sahib}

THE AIM OF LIFE?

Realization of that supreme power (defined above).

HOW TO REALIZE?

Requires a True Guru, devotional worship. That is done by four ways a) reciting the literature of true Guru (Guru Granth Sahib)- this strengthens our faith in God. b) chanting the name of God bestowed by true Guru c) associating the company of holy and d) contemplating Him in meditation- this is followed by deep meditation- the spirit reaches at 10Th door, the place of realization with Him.

We are dedicated to the lotus feet of True Guru and what ever is the philosophy(the way of living) of true Guru, is followed by a true Sikh.

GAGGA: One who understands the Guru's Word

dhoojee baath n dhharee kaanaa ||
does not listen to anything else.{ rag gquree Kabir page 340}

However we believe that for all above, holding of good qualities is the must for the purpose.
