Default Does anyone know anything about Sikhism?

What are their days of worship?
What are some things to avoid?
What are their special places?
What are some historical and present leaders?
What are their important holidays?
Sources would be good.
thanks!!!

OK, this is obviously homework for u, since this is at least the 2ND such question from u.

Here's an idea, there's a new website called wiped.org
You can go there and type Sikh or Sikhism.
You can do the same with zen, Islam, B'hai, and many others.

Good luck!

Sikhism has historical and theological traces of both Hinduism and Islam but cannot be properly understood as a mere hybrid of these two. it has evolved into a distinct religious entity

Very little

Their turbine colors have some significance

They have to wear beards if they are male.

They own a lot of 7-11 stores.

When they decide to talk to you they are quite normal and ordinary.

Sikhs do not have particular days to worship on (that's in Hinduism)

What do you want to avoid? Sikhism?

The place of worship is called a Gurdwara. One of the main ones is the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

The main leaders were the ten Gurus, and as present the Guru is the holy book (the Guru Granth Sahib)

By important holidays do you mean festivals? examples of theses are Diwali, visage...

Try looking at signet, or just go ogle Sikhism
