For the same reason they built a mosque on the Temple of the Mount (the holy of ho lies for the Jews) and turned a famous cathedral (Hagia Sophia) in what was Constantinople to a mosque--because they could.

Ghandi had more to do with the birth of Pakistan than any else, if it wasn't made a country of its own then they would still be in some kind of civil war with India. Also the people who live there now are the same ones who lived there when Sikhism originated, the only difference is what they believe

Because Nehru, Gandhi and Jinnah wanted it.

they didn't asked if Sikhs had problems with it.

these lands should be in India. These lands are holy place for me because here Sikhism originated to save Hindus from atrocities of Muslims.

unfortunately, our leaders didn't care about it.

It shows how our self-declared leaders have played with the lives of millions. Not only the line of demarcation controversial but also declaring a theocratic state on the land where people have been living for 100s of years (without their consensus) is totally illegal. Anywhere in the world had it been done it D HIV led to war. Unfortunately those peoples' right to protest were also denied. Leaders who took these decisions and agreed to everything Jinnah said were in a hurry to become pm. They had no authority to take decisions on behalf of these people. Mountbatten selected leaders whom he CD influence most. And also leaders who hardly care for Sikh sentiments and have no regards for Sikh & Hindu sentiments.

The country was divided according to the concentration of Muslim Population ,the West Punjab had more Muslims than the East Punjab. But its sad that something so important as the Nankana Sahib was never taken into consideration or it could be that it was difficult to divide the country that way.

Anyways the Pilgrims are able to go Pakistan and they have taken care of the graders.

In our local language there s a saying when translated ,it reads,..Only a crying baby gets the milk.

You need to see the Pakistani channels to believe certain things. They say they would occupy TajMahal and hoist their flag on top of it n they say its built by them means it was built by a Muslim.

And they would get Bombai(Mumbai) since it was once ruled by Mughals.Poor fellows!!!

They demanded n they got it and had the Sikhs demanded for it, something could have been done, who knows??.
