Default Does the year 2012 have any significance in Hinduism or Sikhism?

Many people in the world believe that in 2012 the world will come to an end because that is when the Mayan calendar ended. The funny thing is that when Suresh Shrimali came to London, I had a consultation with him and he said to me that the 2012 will be auspicious for me and I will have good luck. I was joking with my mum and dad, saying that the reason it might be auspicious is because I will end up in heaven LOL.

Hinduism does not believe in creating terror in heart of people by giving false dates of destruct ions.

As per Hinduism, there is still long time for the Pralaya to come and before that Kalki av tar will come

What was that time, and what was that moment? What was that day, and what was that date?
What was that season, and what was that month, when the Universe was created?

The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, even if it is written in the Puraanas.
That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran.
The day and the date are not known to the Yogis, nor is the month or the season.
The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.

A Gurmukh who believes in love of God lives in present. He thanks God for giving him life and love. Only God knows future and He is above all kind of calculations.
We harvest same thing which we sow. In Baburvani, a version in Guru Granth, Guru Nanak stated the conditions of village Saidpur when Babur raided Hindostan. He also said, Aggo dewy Joey shuteye ta Kati milley sajayee- If we contemplate before, then why we will be punished?
Not only Hindus and Sikhs, all of the world should start thinking for the goodness of society, nature etc. and at the end of our generations will get Begampura(a state where there are no sorrows).

Read live history of Bhagat Puran Singh, a beggar whose is now king of kings. His body is no more among us but his life history will continue to inspire new generations for ever.

THE MAYANS NEVER PREDICTED 2012

2012 is an American New Age hoax to make money

Hindus follow Hindu calender, we are in Vikram Samvat 2066, so 2012 already passed. If the guy you are referring to is an astrologer then he is a fraud.
