Default Gursikhi & Sikhism [[an essay]]?

So I have to write an essay on " how can you maintain a Gursikhi way of life throughout your college experience"-- any ideas? I'm actually unsure of the way the question is presented, even though I am a Sikh follower, I'm not like so religious, I do believe Sikhism and in some of our values. -- how can i elaborate on this topic?

*By Gurkha way of life do they mean our religious values or cultural?
thanks for the question mark ROD..
didn't help at all..

The word Sikh means the learner, the follower, the pupil. Here I will talk about an ideal Sikh. Sikh is taken for both the genders. First of all a Sikh should have Amrit(the Devinne nectar), which is bestowed by the five priests (Amritdhari sings). Who declare him or her the nominated Singh or Kaur on behalf OT Guru. They also tell them to live in Guru's discipline. The religious discipline are as under.
1) A Sikh has to wake early in the morning and chant the name of God 'Waheguru'.
2) After that they have to take bath and recite 5 compositions of literature or Guru, namely Jap, Jaap, Swaiyye, Chopaee and Anand. This is philosophy of Guru. Daily reciting the literature keeps them in touch with lessons of Guru.
In continuation to previous mail:-
A Sikh should remember at least names of 10 Gurus which are serialwise as under
1) Guru Nanak Dev 2) Guru Angad Dev 3) Guru Amar Dass 4) Guru Ram Dass 5) Guru Arjan Dev 6) Guru Har Gobind 7) Guru Har Rai 8) Guru Har Krishan 9) Guru Teg Bahadur and 10) Guru Gobind Singh.
Commencement of Sikh Organization (13 April 1699), by Guru Gobind Singh at Anandpur-Distt Ropar, Punjab India.
A sikh is supposed to recite literature of Guru Granth Sahib daily.( as per individual capacity) and find answer of every question therein.
Before starting any work he or she prays to the God and Guru for success.

3) They must wear the five symbols of religion. Kachh(long underwear), Karhaa(thick iron bangal), Kirpan( 6 inches symbolic sword) 'Kanghaa'( a wooden comb) not so big, that always remains on head in hair for any time combing.and Keskee(Tarban), some people say the 5th symbol as Kes(hair on head but it is already in discipline).
There are four utmost essential disciplines which are:
a) Not to consume liquor, nonveg and other drugs and tobacco.
b) Not to keep relations with other women\men except husband or wife.
c) Not to cut any hair of body.
d) Not to bow before any other, except Guru(the Holy Book), Guru Granth Sahib.

Besides this a sikh should not have fear from any body except from God. Sikh is also supposed not to give threat to others. A sikh has not to tell lie. A sikh should work hard to earn for food and other requirements. He should also donate 10% of his income for religious purpose or to poor needy one. While working he should chant the name of God. He should also try to give knowlege of teachings of Guru to others. He should encourage others to chant name of God. Both in the morning and evening he should go to Gurudwara and listen the hymns being sung there in the praise of Guru and God.
a sikh should remain sound in his religion but he has to give proper respect to every religion.
In the evening he has to recite lesson of Rehraas, the literature of Guru and before sleeping Kirtan Sohela.

1) Guru Nanak Dev 2) Guru Angad Dev 3) Guru Amar Dass 4) Guru Ram Dass 5) Guru Arjan Dev 6) Guru Har Gobind 7) Guru Har Rai 8) Guru Har Krishan 9) Guru Teg Bahadur and 10) Guru Gobind Singh.
