SIkhism...and Bhindrawale?

I know BHindrawale was a devout baptized Sikh and he was a scholar as far as the Sikh holy scriptures were concerned even though he wasn't schooled in the usual "8am to 2pm" manner in Punjab.

1. Do you think Bhindrawale was a SANT in the true sense of the word?
2. Or was he the victim of political agenda which unexpectedly turned him into a propagated hero
3. Or was he a terrorist?
4. Or was he a simple religious man with strong dedication towards his faith who was turned into a propagandist by the push and pull strategies of the then congress to eliminate the dominance of Shrimoni Akali Dal?

But it makes me wonder, he might be absorbed into some sort of dwindled down version of "greed" as he himself initially accepted Congress's offer which supposedly said "he could be the in charge of Punjab" if he managed to eradicate/diminish the power and influence of SAD on Punjab n Punjabi's mostly the Sikh population. So did he begin as a Saint and then couldn't control himself to be drifted away in the "Maya-laalach" of power... I know he did not demand for Khalistan per se as a Separate, sovereign country but he wanted autonomy for Punjab due to the majority of population being a minority in India- autonomy in the same sense like the USA is a congregation of varous states which function fairly independently but yet again are the same country.
So, what do you say Bhindrawale was? Choose the options above or you can give me your own views....

Sikhism doesn't exist love. Mad humans had nothing better to do so they started making up false gods then when they died more idiotic Sikh believers starting believing it and carried on the rubbish. 1 . I don't know whether he was a SANT or not . Because a person is a Santa only if he is one with god . Just by saying , one does not become a Santa . But I am sure that he was a true Gursikh .
2. He was a victim of political agenda . Some people say he was used by Indira Gandhi and in his early years , people did called him an agent of congress , but its hard to doubt his sincerity towards Sikh faith , considering his speeches , which you yourself can listen at you tube .
3 . If the entire Indian media says that you are a terrorist , PM of India labels you as terrorist , does that make you terrorist ?
Even our Gurus were called by bad names . Golden temple was called as shop by Jahangir . That does not mean Golden temple is a shop . Whenever a person tries to do something good , you will always have people pulling his / her leg .
4. I agree as far as I have listened to him . He was a religious man . Akali Dal first supported him and when hour of test came , they withdrew their support from him .

He was Santa or not, it depends upon how you think, if Santa is name of a good person, opposite of sinner, then he was a Santa. If you mean Santa as a Guru, he was not. He did not have schooling that is why, he could not been corrupted, the way the corrupt normal educated youth teaching them revolutions of Russia and china which favored atheism. Intellignece and schooling has no relationship with each other. He was educated in dear and had complete faith on Guru. He was an intelligent person. He could inspire even atheists to become a sikh and fight for sikhs. Under his leadership Punjabi males shun drinking and other bad habits in large numbers because of his chrismatic personality.
He was not a political person, for him congress and akali both were same. The laalch you were refering to, is again agenda of politicians. He was for only justice for sikhs, a fair treatment. Political struggle for autonomy was mission of akali dal, he just supported them. His men were picked and killed regularly in fake encounters by corrupt Punjab Police and government was supporting them. He refused to buzz and that made him a hero. The government was after Hindu votes and Hindus were happy for sikhs to be curbed. Full support of Hindu media to nirankaris who killed 13 sikhs with illegal weapons in amritsar and therafter at Kanpur was an example. Hindus also supported bad treatment of sikhs during 1982 asian games. SAD and congress are same, both corrupt to use sentiments of people and then settle issues for money or position, but not he was not after this.
There is not a single case registered against him, except one for issueing threats.

Bhindrawala is a sikh hero and will remain sikh hero for the coming generations. many youths still get inspirations from him. He changed thinking of people, schools, colleges which were breeding ground for communists, were seen with baptized sikhs. Hindus had started taking amrit. I remember, shaheedi of Guru arjan sahib, the main reason was muslims in large number had started converting to sikhism, here it was the hindus. Jahangir was a corrupt muslim, Indira was a corrupt Hindu. Jahagir did not kill normal sikhs, but Indira, Rajiv, Narsimha Rao killed hundreds of thousands of sikhs. jahangir is not worshiped by muslims, Indira is regarded as avatar of durga and Rajiv gandhi as mr clean by Hindus.
It is simple question of a majority community curbing the rights of a minority otherwise nexalites, gurkhas, assamese rebels etc. have killed more people than sikh movement under Jarnail Singh but nearly nothing is done against them by indian government in comparison with the the sikhs.

Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale was a saint soldier.. there's no other word to describe how much of a great Sikh he was ... Sant Jarnail Singh Ji was an Amritdhari Sikh who deeply loved Sikhi and followed the Rules of Sikhi very strictly... He used to do Jaap Ji sahib paath 101 times in a day... he got many youths off drugs and turned them towards Sikhi and Sikhs took amrit in masses... he had a huge following.. Indira Gandhi tried to use Bhindranwale to try and control the Sikhs but he went against her and obviously if sum1 goes against the government they ain't gonna declare him as a hero they used media to defame Sant Ji and claimed he was a "terrorist"... just because u stick up for own people and fight against oppression that makes u a terrorist? our Guru Ji's fought against oppression... he walked on the path they set 4 us all.. sum1 hu tells Sikhs to b good Sikhs, Hindu's to be good Hindu's and Muslims to be good Muslims doesn't sound like a terrorist to me.. on the net you'll find Sant Ji's speeches and 4rm no angle does he portray hate... Sant Ji wasn't attached to maya or lalach if he was he could of got hundreds and thousands of rupees 4rm the Indian Government by supporting Indira but he didnt... The Indian Government claimed that he was linked with Pakistani ISI terrorist agents if that was the case and the Government knew about it y didn't they catch these ISI agents? strange how no1 was ever caught... they defamed Sant Ji 4rm every angle.. like u sed Sant Ji never asked for Khalistan he wasn't against it but didn't support it buttttt said that if Hindu's cant treat the Sikhs equally and like brothers then yeh the best solution would be 4 a separate state...

BHINDRANWALE INCITED VIOLENCE AGAINST HINDUS.

1 - Bhindranwale 'mocked Gandhis concept of non violence.
2 - Bhindranwale threatened to kill 5,000 Hindus in an hour if the police did not give into his political demands.
3 - Bhindranwale bluntly demanded 'that all Hindus should leave Punjab.
4 - Bhindranwale incited his followers to kill a Hindu Newspaper editor. When he was arrested in this connection an Indian Airlines plane was hijacked and his release was demanded. In a speech, Bhindranwale 'praised his young lieutenants' for the hijacking
5 - i have personally heard a tape where Bhindranwale has said that each Sikh should kill 36 Hindus.

Bhindranwale was a power hungry madman who was against other Sikhs as well. His pet hatred was for Nirankaris ? another sect of Sikhs. Bhindranwale incited the assassination of Nirankari leader Gurbachan Singh, and said that he would weigh the killer in Gold. He openly stated that his followers would cut Nirankaris to pieces. They made an attempt on the life of the Nirankari?s propaganda secretary .

Bhindranwale had Surinder Singh Chinda, beheaded in the pursuit of violent and personal Sikh politics.

BHINDRANWALE WAS AGAINST FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS ?

Some Sikhs who support Bhindranwale dont know that he would have ruined our lives with his fanatic religious mentality. Sikhs are the biggest drinkers in India but arfe not aware that Bhindranwale had stated - 'If a true Sikh drinks, he should be burnt alive.? Look at what the Taliban has done to Afghanistan.

While he professed the highest standards of Sikhism, he practiced gender discrimination.

Bhindranwale threatened 'political and physical end' of anyone who didn't press for his demands. Bhindranwales followers attacked the police if they ever took action against him.

In the siege of the Gurdara these terrorists had defiled the Gurdwara by defecating in the food vessels and donation boxes of the Gurdwara. They turned the Gurdwara into a fortress by stocking bombs, ammunition and made holes in the walls to shoot bullets.

INDIRA GANDHI ORDERED THE INVASION OF THE GURDWARA

One argument goes that if the Indian Govt could successfully cordon of 100?s of kilometers the Indian Pak border, why could they not cordon off a km of periphery around the Gurdwara and starve out the terrorists. After all, within a few years Muslim terrorists laid a similar siege to a Masjid and were fed chicken Biryani with negotiations. Sikhs were brutally discriminated because they consist only a 2% minority in India.

The opposite argument is that Bhindranwale?s consistent stand had been that if the Indian Government would invade the temple, it would help the cause of Khalistan. The Indian government was worried that if this fact would be openly declared before the invasion, a large section of the Punjab police and religious Sikhs might have crossed over to support Bhindranwale. A protracted siege would then help create Khalistan into a reality, and tens of thousands of innocent Hindus in Punjab and Sikhs outside Punjab would be ethnically cleansed, if not killed.

As a Sikh i feel that the Indian Government is allways facing difficult seige attacks, and had enough experiance, recources and Goodwill amongst Sikhs to have found an easier way out. They should have handled the matter more sensitively. The Congress should not have ordered the invasion, they should have found a better way out.

We all know that last Nov , only 4 Pakistani terrorists held out in Taj for 3 days against numerous highly trained Indian commandoes. Then how could 100's of Sikh terrorists fall like 9 pins ? Becuase the pakistani jehadis were religiously doctrinated, and had zeal behind their training. Most of the Sikhs in Operation Blue star were at best, petty thugs out to make a quick buck, at worst they were murderers. They miscalculated, they were trapped by mistake in the Golden Temple and many of them surrendered like cowards. They are an insult to the real Sikhs in the Indian Army.

THE ANTI SIKH RIOTS

We Sikhs dont realise that we had criminals in our community too who did enough damage in return.................. The reason for this is that Hindus don?t challenge us Sikhs on on this topic. Hindus feel that their bigger problem in the country are Muslims so they try not to rake up controversial topics with us Sikhs. Because we don?t hear their viewpoint we Sikhs tend to think that 1984 was a big one sided crime. Please, lets soul search and be more realistic.

The primary tragedy is that a man has died. How he dies, how many died in one day, who killed them are important issues, but secondary issues. We say that Hindus were killed by terrorists, BUT Sikhs were killed by Congress ( Rajiv Gandhi?s orders ) We say that Hindus were killed by bullets, BUT Sikhs were killed by burning tires around their necks. We say that 3000 plus Sikhs died in 3 days, conveniently forgetting that 3000 plus Hindus have died too, over 3 years.

What I am repeating is that the primary tragedy is death. What I am stating is that there are still, today, thousands of Hindu widows, daughters, mothers crying the same way as there are Sikh widows, mothers and daughters. Both sides were wrong

PEOPLE OF INDIA MUST STICK TOGETHER

this Congress party has committed atrocities against Hindus too. BJP has killed Muslims. The politicians ( not Abdullahs though ) in the Kashmir valley have been instrumental in the ethnic cleansing of Hindu Pandits. Lower castes get raped all the time. Nowadays even the Christians are gating an occasional pasting by saffron outfits. That is politics.

But Sikhs got justice from the PUCL and PUDR, all of whom were Hindus.. Hindus went overboard screaming for justice for Sikhs. We Sikhs have got a very good deal in India, we are first class citizens, a thriving successful community. We are not minority or majority - we are mainstream. WE are India.

The average Hindu and Sikh on the road probably hated each other for a few years, that all is thankfully over, this hatred only remains in the heads of a low IQ Khalistanis and Hindu lunatics
