although to be strict, in terms of Christians, its not a religion but a relationship with God D
cos 1Sly i was born into a christian family.
2idly, i BELIEVE myself that our God is the only one and true God and its the way
3rely, Ive seen God's marvelous miracles and works in my life too many times its hard to reject.
Christianity is the biggest religion in the world Islam is the fastest growing religion (because Islam is spreading fear) my fave is Christianity because it shows a merciful loving and fair god i mean what other religion had their gods one and only son die for an entire world just because he loved us that much
All religions are the same at their core and are inspired by the same Father. It is all the nonsense that man adds to them after their "Man-god" leader departs that perverts them and makes them unrecognizable from the teachings of their founder.
None of the above. Religion seems to always refer to something organized, driven from above b y a minority that has my best interests in mind. The implication being- that they know what is best for me (the assumption is that I do not know but they do). I have a deep respect for individual beliefs but not religion. Most religions have one thing in common and that is Audacity. I AM THE CORRECT ONE, THE TRUE ONE, THE ONLY ONE. This attitude has resulted in countless suffering for flock(sic) and non followers. Countless of wars and killings since their inception. Torture coercion indexes of forbidden knowledge etc. If there is a god he must be appalled at the situation. NO I will have none of them.
Jainism; It is the religion of self of man. Human life is divided between two worlds - the external and spiritual and so is man's consciousness. One aspect of our consciousness tends outwards ; another is inclined inwards. The direct knowledge of the self alone can put an end to all the problems, which the mind of man is facing throughout history. Once mind gets submerged into the soul, the problem ceases to exit and , therefore, the real and lasting solution of all the problems lie in a spiritual discipline of the entire self of man.
As a Muslim, obviously I will say Islam. However, as Muslims believe that Chrisitianity & Judaism are both also from God (Allah) we don't "dislike" their beliefs. However, we DO believe that the current forms of both religions are NOT what Jesus & Moses preached.
As a Muslim , of course I'll choose ISLAM,
it taught me:
*how to worship one god and establish a deep , loving ,and direct relation with him without intermediate.
*peace and tolerance,& how to res pet Pol and treat them with morals and , freedom of opinions and expression.
*how to succeed in my life and and be happy in it and also success and salvation in the after life.
*how to deal in each aspect of life , individual&social, material&moral,economic&polite... since Islam is a complete guidance for all aspects concerns human life.
* how to apply my faith , and make equilibrium between material and spirituality.since Islam is a practical religion.
and other teachings.
i am a rationalist and feel all the basic tenets of all religions are dogmatic and lack scientific temper but the only exception to this is Buddhism which was based on rationalism. i also like NanaNaaarga of Hinduism. i also like the preachings of Jesus who died for a noble cause and preached non violence.
I do not dislike any religion, but I like 'libido' s answer who has also invented this question in a false Id who has put more questions than answers and all the answers by 'libido' have been rated as the 'Best Answer'. Why does the self proclaimed rationalist 'libido' play these false tricks. By going to the 7Th level in yahoo answers can she satisfy herself that she has not adopted these self-deceptive means? 'libido' should quit yahoo website and go to a psychiatrist for treatment.
