Default A question about the religion sikhism?

I am allergic to iron so if i wear a Kara, i get a rash, so my parents ordered me a pure silver on specially from India...does this Kara still count as a regular Kara because it is not made of iron?

Have you tried a bracelet out of surgical steel? That usually does not cause an allergic reaction and I know steel is acceptable.
