Default Sikhism : 10 Gurus or more ?

The place where I stay there are 2 kinds of Sikhs :
1) believe in 10 guru and believe the holy book also to be Guru .
2) believe in 10 guru + more some guru and one of them told me that Grant is just Adi Grant and not guru . and that their present guru is jacket sing .
If someone can clear my doubt , which kind of Sikh is more correct ? 1st or 2ND ?

Dear ask er visual C++
I can not guess what kind Sikhs they are, however first kind of Sikhs are more correct than referred at serial number 2).

Actually reality is that we the Sikhs have only one Guru. The first Guru Guru Nanak Dev was Guru by birth. The 2ND is the successor of first, the 3rd to the 2ND and so on.

Hence we do not consider the separate entity of 10 Gurus. The first Guru Guru Nanak Dev were born with Gur-Jot i.e. a power of God formed as True Guru Spirit. God himself had born in form of Guru Nanak Dev.
This Shabad is by Bhatt Keerath in Svaiyay Mehl 5 on Pannaa 1395

The Lord Himself wielded His Power and entered the world.
The Formless Lord took form, and with His Light He illuminated the realms of the world.
He is All-pervading everywhere; the Lamp of the Shabad, the Word, has been lit.
Whoever gathers in the essence of the teachings shall be absorbed in the Feet of the Lord.
Lehnaa, who became Guru Angad, and Guru Amar Daas, have been reincarnated into the pure house of Guru Nanak.
Guru Amar Daas is our Saving Grace, who carries us across; in lifetime after lifetime, I seek the Sanctuary of Your Feet. ||2||16||

And the seat of Guru went on transferring up to 10th Guru. When Sikhs asked the 10th Guru, who would be their Guru after Him, Guru Gobind Singh replied " I am giving you such a Guru who would not be tired giving you the preaches " and ordered the Guru Granth Sahib is your Guru here after. From there the tradition of physically living Guru came to an end and word Guru was honored as living Guru.

The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained. {Guru Raam Daas Ji Raag Nat aaraayan 982}

Guru Raam Daas, to save the world, enshrined the Guru's Light into Guru Arjun. ||4|| {Bhatt Mathuraa Svaiyay Mehl 5 1409}

The above line of a hymn clearly indicates that there had been a Guru's light that went on transferring to the successor Guru. And now that light is in Guru Granth Sahib.

Though physically there had been 10 Gurus but they all had one status of true Guru, hence they were not a separate entities.

There are some sikhs of different opinion, they believe in a physically living Guru (though this is contrary to sikh religious code of conduct. That is why 2nd type of sikhs say their guru as Jagjit Singh (some living person), but they are not correct. If Jagjit Sing is their Guru, why they recite literature of 10 Gurus contained in Guru Granth Sahib?.

Learning You are right that Guru Granth Sahib contains literature of 5 Gurus, but saying Bani of 10 Gurus means all the 10 Gurus are preaching (others 5 orally ordered to follow). However it hardly matters to affect my answer.
steel boy ; thanks for bringing in my knowledge you are write that Baba Ram Singh was a devotee worshiper. He did not want to be called a Guru as was written by him in his letters from Rangoon, but the people left here in India did not obey him and went on saying him their Guru.

Thanks for going through my answer and giving valuable comments.

Sikhs have ten gurus and Guru Granth Sahib.People who believe in Jagjit Singh are called Namdhari or Kuka Sikhs. Namdhari movement was started by Baba Ram Singh a devout Sikh to establish Khalsa Raj. He was exiled to Burma where he died in prison. There after British made him Guru and with their help another Guru was initiated. Namdhari thereafter did not play any role in any struggle including struggle for Punjabi based state and atrocities committed by Hindu Indian forces and their slaves on Sikhs. Read these link to know about them:

Dear Jagjit, you wrote,". If Jagjit Singh is their Guru, why they recite literature of 10 Gurus contained in Guru Granth Sahib?" Is that true what you wrote? I don't think Guru Granth Sahib contain the literature of 10 Gurus. It contains the literature of less than 10 Gurus. It's either 5
Gurus or 6 Gurus literature. Things would have been a lot easier to understand if the Guru Granth Sahib contained the literature of 10 Gurus and only of 10 Gurus but that is not the case.
