Sikhism is a strictly monotheistic religion .
Sikhism was founded by Guru Nanak , developed by later 9 gurus .
Guru Gobind Singh , the 10Th & Final Human Sikh guru established Khalsa brotherhood , a community of Sikh followers , for upholding basic human values & to fight against tyranny & injustice , to help the weak & poor.
Guru Gobind Singh bestowed Guru-ship on Guru Granth Sahib , which is now & for always , the final , unaltered word of God .
Sikhism professes that all religions are equal in eyes of God & all Humans are equal in eyes of god irrespective of their religion , creed , gender , etc.
Sikhism teaches its followers in sacrificing ones lives for noble causes . 9Th Sikh guru was executed for protecting Hinduism .
Sikhism is a very modern religion & no teachings of science contradict with Sikhism .
Sikhism strongly encourages for putting efforts for upliftedNTf Humanity.
Sikhism believes God is called by different names in different religion such as "allah , ram , yehovah , yahweh , etc...& that all his names are beautiful .
Sikh name for God is Waheguru , which literally means " The wondrous destroyer of darkness & source of all knowledge "
Sikhism teaches equality of men & women and encourages women to be successful in all fields .
I have only tried to describe sikhism in a nut shell .
Here are some good Sikhism info sites :
