Sufism Sufism is a mystical-ascetic approach to Islam that seeks to find divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience of God. By focusing on the more spiritual aspects of religion, Sufis strive to obtain direct experience of God by making use of "intuitive and emotional faculties" that one must be trained to use.

Default Ramadan:Why do Some People Here confuse Sufism As a SECT?

Asslamualkum,

Sufism is JUST a Philosophy, Just an Ideology which emphasis that Allah can be reached by any means and that Allah is the Real One who Exists.

The Real Sufis were the Strict Followers of Shariah law, TAke Mawlana Rumi for Example, and Imam Ghazali.

Sufism is not Going to graves and Biddah, THAT SUFisM is FAKE SUFISM!!!

And If you Want to talk about Fake Sufism then, call them Fake Sufis, simple is that but do not call them Sufis straight because that Will be wrong.

My Youtube is not working at the moment so I cannot post a helpful link, but Please Know about real Sufism by Typing in

"Sufism, Annemarie Schimmel", This is a 20 minutes interview hosted by a Saudi Sheikh which is very informative. Please do watch.

The Wahhabi/salafi/neo-khawarij cult are subverting this wonderful faith of our through their lies and innovation.

I am a Muslim too (Sufi, Sunni and Shia) - it is a reflection of the diver sty and vitality of the faith. My faith is too Miltie-sourced and complex to fit into a category. It is search for the Truth wherever it may come from.

My spiritual journey started when I came across systematic revisions being made http://www.al-islam.org/tahrif/yusufali/index.htm It was then that I woke up to the lies and started to use my brain to investigate such that I may be guided to the Reality, Truth, Haqq.

Morpheus: You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

Sufism is pantheistic Islam. Pantheism is only a footstep away from atheism.

Sufism started as a wonderful part of Islamic Knowledge, just like the rest of the Islamic types of science were formed, such as Fiqh, Hadith, Quranic Sciences, Tafseer..etc, Sufism was all about heart purification, asceticism, constant remembrance of the blessings of Allah and how guilty a man is...etc its in other words, constant attempt to reach the level of perfection (Ihsan), many Sufi scholars benefited the nations including Bishr Al Hafi, Al Junaid Al Baghdady, Al Imam Alghazaly, many political leaders were also Sufi including Nour Aldeen Zinky, Saldin...etc

Nevertheless, some people who called themselves Sufi made some outrageous exaggerations in terms of sayings, poems, actions which went beyond the Prophet teachings, and we can see nowadays the so called Sufis starting to make Bidaa's, some are visiting graves and starting new rituals...etc those type of people are Sufis by name only and they are more likely to be called Sinners and loony

this is for us to differentiate between the modern so called Sufism and the original Sufism

And Allah knows best

Edit: Tahir, am not defending Sufism, the last thing i wanna do is to go through discussion with my Muslim brothers, I know about the Sufis in Pakistan, and India I guess, but have u ever seen righteous Sufis in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Malaysia, no? well pls, dont judge Sufism based on the majority of Sufis in one or two countries.

no offense to our brothers in Pakistan and India

It is the "Fake Sufis" that label them selves as Sufis and this sect and that...

And by the way, All the Sufis I have seen are bid ah doing grave worshipers. No offense.

They are called Salafi, they have nothing better to do, their Alma teach them to hate all Muslims, and call them shrieking, they busy them with hate, so they can control their logic.
