Sufism Sufism is a mystical-ascetic approach to Islam that seeks to find divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience of God. By focusing on the more spiritual aspects of religion, Sufis strive to obtain direct experience of God by making use of "intuitive and emotional faculties" that one must be trained to use.

he was a student of one of the Sufi Scholars, he never became Sufi though, but he respected Sufism and fought the exaggeration of some Sufi scholars at the same time.

His closest student Ibn Alqayyem presented the Book (Madarej Alsalekeen) which presented the essence of Sufism in the salami way, it was Sufi teachings but within strict boundaries based on Quran and Sunnah

I hope i helped
