Sunni Sunni Muslims are the largest group in Islam, comprising the vast bulk (80-90%) of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims, hence the title Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamā‘ah (people of the tradition and union)

Sunni and Shia Islam are very regimented religions, focused on the Koran and the Hadith. Sufiism is a much more mystical branch of Islam. It stresses direct experience of Allah, which might be done through ecstatic dancing, for example. Some Muslims do not even consider Sufis to be Muslims, and different practices may diverge significantly.

Sufi is the mysticism of Islam, Sunni is more legalistic.

A "Sunni" is just one who obeys first the Qu'ran and then the Eadith's of the Prophet, pub.

The Sufi sect though have deviated in that they created innovations to be more "spiritual" such as creating chants and dances to achieve a certain feeling.

That's the major difference. The Sufi's deviated in the understanding of the Asama' WA Sadat of Allah and thus created different understandings and actions.

The Sunni's stayed true to the way of the Qu'ran and the hadiths.

Sunni Islam is generally what is considered to be the "mainstream" sect of Islam. It includes the belief in the Five Pillars of Islam: alms-giving, five daily prayers, belief in Allah as the only god, fasting during Ramadan, and completion of the Hajj, as well as the following of the Qur'an and the Eadith's.

Sufism is a variation of Islam that is more "mystic" and spiritual than other sects. Its followers go towards the Truth via a path of love and devotion, called the tract ("spiritual way").
