Can you explain the act of my sunni(muslim) friend ?


Sunni Sunni Muslims are the largest group in Islam, comprising the vast bulk (80-90%) of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims, hence the title Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamā‘ah (people of the tradition and union)

Default Can you explain the act of my sunni(muslim) friend ?
Last year at new year's eve i gave my Sunni(muslim) friend a bottle of Beer , but he refused to take it .
Why did he do that ?

In Islam it is Haram, or sinful, to drink any kind of alcohol. Alhamdulillah your friend made a very wise decision.
