Default Taoism further reading?

I find the idea of The Way to be very appealing, a path of peaceful (perhaps even spiritual) existence that doesn't require faith in a higher being. My understanding is limited, as I've probably just shown, because up until now I've only read the Winnie the Pooh book This was a very nice introduction but I think it's time for something deeper.

Please can someone recommend some further reading? Personal recommendations only please, I can check Amazon or kipped

Many thanks.
he he when I say Winnie the Pooh book I'm referring to "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff which uses the character to explain the basic concept of Taoism.

I really do not have any books on Tao, but you might find the study of spiritual gongnalso interesting. There are three different kinds of Qigong, make sure your search has the word spiritual in it or you will get martial and medical in your searches, which are different. These include energy exercises similar to Tao chi. Also the Traditional Chinese Medicine 5 elements help to explain nature and how things work.

Sorry I could not help you with Taoism. Good luck

"The Tao of Physics" by Fritjof Capra is a bestseller and a decent introduction to Taoism. It corroborates Tao philosophy with modern scientific findings. It's deep and at the same time explains to the reader the facts and logic of Taoism.

We need the Holy Bible first - Start with Jesus and He gets one into God and it's "progress with caution" - no going back. Taoism could be earlier for some than others, but Christian Countries should have Christ first.
