I didn't ask about Texas or any other state...please, monitor your answers and stay on topic.
the AP snippet I read did not have Ti's sentence in it:
They also noted that other religions didn't have a special day honored.
"HONOLULU (AP) - Hawaii's state Senate has overwhelmingly approved a bill to celebrate "Islam Day" - over the objections of a few lawmakers who said they didn't want to honor a religion connected to Sept. 11, 2001. The resolution to proclaim Sept. 24, 2009, as Islam Day passed the Senate on a 22-3 vote Wednesday. It previously passed the House. The measure now goes to the governor. The bill seeks to recognize "the rich religious, scientific, cultural and artistic contributions" that Islam and the Islamic world have made. But the Senate's two Republicans argued that radical Islamists cheered the 9/11 attacks. They also noted that other religions didn't have a special day honored. The lone Democrat voting in dissent opposed it on church-state separation fears.'

"They also noted that other religions didn't have a special day honored."
Odd... i guess they finally looked at IBM's actual BC, and realized they had to find a way to honor him... NO OTHER RELIGIONS HAVE A SPECIAL DAY HONORED...
Deport this fraud NOW... it is becoming blatantly clear as to the plan... and you know what? BOTH party's are involved.... I know, because they BOTH ignored the Evidence, covered it up... some to prevent riots, others to attain their goal... change is NOT always for the best.
All major religions have been recognized as important religions in the House and Senate except one: Christianity. When a representative introduced the resolution to honor Christianity as well it was voted down.
This Hawaii recognition of Islam and making an "Islam Day" (regardless if its a law or not) just proves further that our society is lost, hypocritical, contradictory, and messed up. What would happen if another state passed a resolution making "Christianity Day". How do you think that would go over? Every ACLU liberal would be screaming bloody murder over it with their crazy one line, "Separation! Separation from Church and State!"
We've lost all sense of consistency, reality, and reason.
