Default Can anyone simplify to me the beliefs of Taoism?

Wu Wei is really confusing for one, and just if you could tell me in layman's terms the beliefs of Taoism, that's be nice. Thank you all so much!

Some of the basic tenets of Taoism/Daoism are:
Non-contention, solve problems by peaceful means rather than with conflict and violence;
Non-action, when one is attuned to the Tao/Dao you do less and accomplish more;
Non-intention, perform virtuous deeds without regard to reward;
Simplicity, make everyday living uncomplicated and effortless;
Wisdom, transcend the limits of logic by using your intuition.

Insights come from 'living' the Tao/Dao rather than book knowledge;
Humility, the more you learn, the more you realize how much you do not yet understand;
Duality, all worldly qualities are defined by the existence of their opposites, something is loud only by comparison to something that is quiet.

Find a positive out of every situation by seeing things in simple way. For example, don't be upset that the coffee you bought this morning tastes bad, but instead be happy that you can taste it.

Winnie the Pooh is the ultimate Taoist (try reading The Tao Of Pooh, its a short read and offers a great explanation).

Master Li wrote the following poem and I'd like share it with you :
http://falundafa.org/book/eng/hongyin/v2/hy_10.htm

************************************************** **********
Inaction (Wu Wei)

Cultivation in the three religions[4] teaches inaction,
Using the mind improperly is with action;
Exclusively doing good deeds is still action,
Attachment discarded is true inaction.

January 17, 1993

[4]?Three religions? refers to the three religions in China: Buddhism, Daoism (Taoism), and Confucianism.

************************************************** **********

You learn about the Taoist belief from the on line lecture:
http://www.falundafa.org/book/eng/pdf/zfl_new.pdf

An excerpt from the Zhuan Falun Lecture about Daoism (Taoism) :
"Daoists cultivate True, Good, Endure with an emphasis on being True. That?s why Daoists strive to, ?cultivate truth and nourish inborn nature, say true words, do true things, be a truthful person, return to your original, true self, and ultimately cultivate into a True Person.? But they also have Endure, and they also have Good, it?s just that the emphasis is on cultivating the True part."

At the beginning level of practice: "In the Daoist small worldly paths they don?t cultivate longevity. What they do is all about fortune-telling, Deng Hui reading, exorcising evil, and healing people, and most small worldly paths use sorcery." copied from page #105 in the same Lecture on the web. In addition, many martial artists pick up the novice Daoist practice to reach higher level.

Not relating to Buddhism nor Daoism, Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School, combining the Daoist and Buddhist practice. consisting of five sets of powerful exercises.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?
