Default Why does Confucianism and Daoism(Taoism) seem to avoid specifics?

Both religions seem to have a very loose definition of right and wrong, but leaves the believer to contemplate between them. For example the Filial Piety hierarchy of sorts seems to set up the initial relationships, but the definitions of the duties are very loosely explained.

Why is this? Why do both religions seem to have such a loose structure?

I am just curious to see what people answer to this question, and in no way am degrading either religion or way of thought.

Thanks in advance.

Probably because right and wrong can't just be defined because they are both different for each person.

Confucianism and Daoism (Taoism) seem to "avoid specifics" Because Much of the Religious Publications by these 2 Religions Deal in NON-Specifics !

You are right. THey are very vague and very general. Almost impossible to not be able to follow the rules. So i say it is to make it easier for an uneducated person to believe and follow..
