Anybody knows of a wise spiritual teacher/guide who follows Taoism or Buddhism?

The Dalai Lama is a Buddhist leader.

No, because I don't think following Taoism or Buddism is "wise", though my mother is a devoted Buddhist. Sorry.

There a many, many enlightened teachers of Buddhism. If you are looking for a teacher to help you, I recommend having a face-to-face meeting with a teacher. This will help you more than anything.
