A bible is not the issue, Taoism is the problem

There is no "bible" for it.

However there are hundreds of books about it. A good beginner book would be The Tao of Pooh.

Read any books on Taoism, I Ching, Buddhism, etc . Just reading one book will only get you a one sided idealization of what Taoism is.

Keep an open mind about what Taoism is as there are many ways to understand light and dark, love and hate, peace and war, etc.

There is no one "Taoist" Bible. However you might want to start by reading the TAO TE CHING.

Any good introductory book or site should have reading lists of Taoist Classics. Try Wikipedia!

You might also want to read books by John Blofeld and Eva Wong.

So visit your library and if they have no books ask if they can get any in by inter library loan!

Iron Plague (above) beat me to it. "The Tao of Pooh" and "The Te of Piglet" are excellent introductory books :-)

The Tao Te Ching is the book at the heart of Taoism, don't bother with the I Ching while it is Taoist in nature it has nothing to do with Taoism other than those who suppose it does, it is a book on par lour tricks for fortune telling, it was never mentioned once by Lao Tzu or Chung Tzu the main founders of Taoism.

If your looking for a contemporary book on Taoism I would suggest the Tao of Pooh, for a more in depth but easy to read ,book, I would suggest Tao the water course way, by Alan Watts. both can be found on Amazon.
