Default Why do followers of abrahamic religions show disrespect toward Taoism?

What anger? Just asking.
note - This question was asked, because I read a question about Taoism and several of the responses were that the practitioners of this religion were following the devil's work and would burn in hell for not loving Jesus. I found that to be rather rude, but I am not really angry, just wondering why the hate for such a thing as Taoism.

I don't. I think it's a wonderful religion. I could see myself getting into it.

Why are you generalizing. As a Christian I do not follow Taoism but as an American I support freedom of religion and respect your right to believe what you want.

For a Taoist there seems to be a lot of anger in your statement, maybe some mediation is needed

I don't. I respect all religions equally, whether I believe in it or not.

I think they feel obliged to disrespect anything that doesn't reflect their beliefs. I feel that they miss out on so much wisdom.

Taoism is one of the great roads to enlightenment of the mysteries of the universe. How is it disrespected by the three roots of Abraham's tree?

That kind of thing happens everywhere. Intolerance comes when the followers of these great teachers fall away from the original message.

The best thing to do with intolerance is just ignore it and go your own way. I wish you a happy and fulfilling life.

**Some** followers of Aramaic religions tend to show disrespect to anything that isn't part of their own religion or spirituality, regardless, because they cant seem to figure out how to disagree without being irritated or belligerent.

I'm Jewish, and I don't. For those that do, I doubt that they know enough about it to make an informed decision. Most Americans, at least, don't know that much about Taoism.

When you believe that your religion is the only true faith and that your God will destroy not only you but all of your descendants if your neighbors do not believe just like you do, intolerance is a given. The Abrahamic religions are based upon the assumption that God will destroy the nation if people do not all worship him and in the book there is the commandment to destroy the unbelievers.
Fred Phelps is exactly right about that part of the Bible. That is what has allowed these religions like Islam, Christianity and Judaism to dominate so much of the world for so long.
It is not just Daoism, it is any religion that is not identical with them. The Christians through history have slaughtered far more fellow Christians over religious differences than anybody else has.
