are Taoists polytheist, monotheist, or atheist ?
do Taoists believe in an afterlife (reincarnation /heaven or hell)?
what is the goal of Taoism ( heaven, enlightenment, nirvana)?

read the Tao Teh Ching it's the purest form of Taoism and will tell you what you need to know.

Taoism is a very interesting religion. In fact, many have calmed to be Taoist while being fully practicing in other faiths. I see Taoism as more of a way of life. A state of being, a finding of balance in an unbalance universe.

I would say that if they did believe in Heaven, they would believe in its opposite, Hell. But you would have to ask each individual Taoist personally for their answer.

The goal of Taoism is to find balance in this life. Ok so it is more complicated than that, but at the same time it isn't.

The is opposites in everything, balance is what is needed. One needs to be receptive to learn but not busily worrying about gaining knowledge(or anything for that matter) They mainly go with the flow of the universe. They believe in a reason for everything (karma)
