Default Best book to buy to learn about Taoism?

I have become interested in Taoism through browsing it and would really like to learn more about it and understand UT, particularly the philosophical side of it, more in depth and as a whole. I was wondering what would be the best book/books to buy (for a beginner really, not too complex and written in such a way that it will baffle me) Lil I'd appreciate any help =)

the Dao De Ching and the I Ching I guess. Dummies guide to Taoism? Those dummies books rock

basic stuff, like poems and parables.

Like others are saying the Tao Te Ching or Dao De Jing is a good one but it may be too complicated. It's the teachings of Lao Tzu and he was like other Asian religious figures in that some of the ways that he explains things are riddles. I recommend getting the Tao Te Ching along with another book to help explain it a little better. I got a translation of the Tao Te Ching that also had an in depth explanation in the beginning of the book.
In the source section I included the translation I have and a separate book that I thought looked interesting.

The Tao Te Ching is the original Taoist book written by Lao Tu, no other book will give you a better understanding. Taoism cannot be learned, only lived. It seems complicated to grasp at first because you think you have to use the mind to learn about it when really its just accepting it and living it... its very hard to explain in writing because the whole point of Tao is that it cannot be explained.
